25.01.2022 Farewell and good luck to Emily Peak who has represented her Club, State and Country for the past 10 years. Emily started in Aussie Skate tiny tots when she was 7 years old and was lucky enough to travel to most states of Australia and three different countries New Zealand, Hong Kong and Philadelphia. She is a state champion and national medalist. Emily coached LTS for the past 5 years and gained her level 0 coaching certificate with NSWPSA. Emily completed her skating carer in Junior level and was looked up to by many skaters. We don’t have a date for the test but are hoping for it to be at the end of this year or start of 2021. Our next current booked Test session is after the Aussie Skate test in March 2021.... The Aussie Skate Program, in conjunction with Ice Skating Australia, are proud to release the Aussie Skate App. This app covers all the levels of the Aussie Skate Program and features element descriptions, videos and competition information. Skaters can also track their progress by checking off the skills as they learn them. 21.01.2022 2020 NSWISA State Championships Preparations will continue to hold another COVID safe event in our home rink. The NSWISA Board are pleased to advise that the NSW State Championships will proceed as planned over the October long weekend at Hunter Ice Skating Stadium, providing that Government restrictions do not prevent NSWISA from running this event as per the current plan.... If anything changes as a result of Government restrictions, the NSWISA Board will communicate the impacts with members as soon as practicable. Members will be advised via email when entries are open for online registration, but also keep an eye on the competitions page of the NSWISA.com website for updates and other information, as well as email updates in the lead up to the Championships. However, Friday afternoons figure session from 3.30-4.30 will be available for any skater including those competing at NSWISA state championships this weekend. Music will not be able to be played unless you have a music tag, cost of the session is $10.

07.01.2022 Please be advised that from Monday 21st September all programme music will be taken off the lap top. Music for background music will still be available on the laptop but after this date all programme music must be played through the new Rink Music System. Please ensure that all your music is uploaded to your tag 24 hours before you need to use it for the first time to ensure their is no delays in it loading.... Music volume will need to be set the first time you play music from your tag but will then hold that volume. If you need to purchase a tag please send a message to the Club or see one of the executives or the Skate stall on a Wednesday evening or a Saturday morning. Thank you

07.01.2022 Please be advised that due to changes announced today from tomorrow only one spectator per skater is allowed at the rink during a figure session until further notice. For the next 6 weeks there will also be no travelling to competitions outside of our area which may affect competition entries and the possible cancellation of NSW states. As soon as we know more we will let our members know. Additional footnote: - Any skaters or coaches currently skating between a couple of ri...nks, you will need to select only one rink to train at during this time. Tricia (Head Coach) TOUGHER RESTRICTIONS FOR COMMUNITY SPORT NSW Health has issued new restrictions for community sport. These new restrictions should be implemented by 19 August and will be in place for the next six weeks, with a view to extend if required. Cease activities that result in the mixing of participants and staff from different regions, for example by ceasing zone, regional or state championships or competition e.g. activities which bring together participants (including spectators and officials) from organisations in different regions of Sydney, from a rural area into a metro area and vice versa, and movement between different rural areas Cease any activities that result in overnight stays (e.g. multi-day training camps) due to increased risk of COVID transmission in residential-type settings with shared facilities Cease face-to-face social activities relating to community sports (e.g. award ceremonies, end-of-season social gatherings, post-training group dinners) Avoid carpools or bus travel with people from different household groups where possible For local activities, limit spectators to one parent only, where the child requires parental supervision during the sporting activity

The Constitution has already been approved by the Executive Committee after an amazing amount of work between life members Meredith Stocker & Monique Elliott & Appointed member & current Grievance officer Michelle Maxwell as well as several other volunteers and Ian Fullagar from Lex Sportiva. We ask that all members read the new constitution and vote w...ith either a yes or no via email to [email protected] Remember this is a yes or no vote. Members are unable to make suggestions or any changes to the document they are only voting to accept or decline the new constitution. You must be a member to vote and no proxy’s can be used to vote for or against the constitution. 06.01.2022 BUNNINGS BBQ this weekend!!! Don’t forget about our Bunnings BBQ this Sunday at Boolaroo. We are desperately in need of more volunteers as at this stage we will have to cancel if we don’t get more volunteers.... If you can help at any of the below shifts please comment with which shift you can do. All volunteers must be over 15 and have their own cloth apron. Anyone cooking the bbq needs to be over 18. 06.01.2022 Rink management has asked to remind our members that no one is to take to the ice without paying for ice time. No exceptions. If you are dropping a child off to train or will not be attending with a child you need to ensure their ice time is paid before you leave or organise for them to have money to pay for ice time.... If no staff are in the box to pay you need to wait or seek out a staff member to pay for ice, again before taking to the ice. Ice time is $10 for an am session or $15 for an afternoon session, Saturday mornings are $15 Thank you
