11.01.2022 The tree life. This one had death written all over it. For those of you who don’t realise how dangerous our work is, statistics show it is the most dangerous peacetime activity in Australia. In the last two years, two people in this area alone, have been seriously injured by trees just like this. One is left with quadriplegia, the other has/had 9 broken vertebrae in his neck. They are the ones I know about, and don’t include the broken legs, arms, slipped discs, chainsaw cuts... and bruised egos! Over mature spotted gum, 35 metres high, with major dead wood the length of the trunk. These branches have been known to dislodge at the slightest movement and drop! Silently! Ok, so good safe work method, awareness and good luck, no ones hurt. Nice work boys! The secenery at beautiful Lambs Valley made the job easier. #thetreelife #hunterrivertrees #arborcert

10.01.2022 The tree life. One of our interesting jobs last week was the follow up treatment to 100+ Muncherion Pear trees located outside Dungog. These trees where suffering leaf scorch disease and it was rapidly spreading to the population of other tree species planted on the property.... Good clean up of old leaf litter, cleared around root zone, nice thick layer of fresh mulch and treatment with the appropriate herbicide by team arborist Cameron Dwyer and they are coming along nicely. #ArborCert #hunterrivertrees #thetreelife
