25.01.2022 Another part completed. Entrance hallway.

24.01.2022 4 months later, the balcony is still standing, the plans are going back and forth to the council. Could have had it finished now if it wasn't for the red tape. A couple of beautiful rooms are finished if anyone is interested.

21.01.2022 Some of the work already completed. Opening and work has been delayed indefinitely because I decided to have a stroke and cannot do further renovations.

21.01.2022 One of the recently renovated rooms at the Hunters Hotel Queenstown. Most rooms will have en suites. We expect to open early next year.

21.01.2022 Exciting new discovery in the old wing. Hidden ceiling rose and super high ceiling hidden under a lower ceiling.

19.01.2022 The crystal chandeliers have finally gone up in the dining room. Well done Renate.

10.01.2022 The West Coast Council in their wisdom have issued a demolition order for our heritage listed balcony. We have 28 days in which to remove it. It is not that bad and was going to be next years project, once the rooms were finished. It would be a great loss to the streetscape and to Australian history. Unfortunately it has caught us at a bad time because of my stroke, I have been unable to work and neither have the funds nor the strength to repair it at present. One of the loc...al families has set up a go fund me page to raise funds so we can employ a builder to do the neccesary repairs. I have a couple of thousand dollars but it is no where near enough to pay the cost of getting someone to do it. We are fighting our hardest to save it. Without the beautiful balcony, the hotel and street will look like shit. Any help would be very much appreciated. Once the balcony is gone, it will be lost forever. See more
