24.01.2022 Thank you to the 160 people who took the time to participate in the Garibaldi Bench Poll. Please find attached the results - 52.5% in favour of removing the benches and replacing with the traditional bench, 47.5% preferred to retain the new benches, some voted with modifications. Council will be removing the benches in the coming weeks, and will order replacements. These should arrive by the end of October. ... The benches currently installed will be repurposed in another location this year.

21.01.2022 Parking meters are to be removed from Buffalo Creek, following a decision of Hunter’s Hill Council tonight (Monday 14 September 2020). Council determined that the parking meters will be removed from Buffalo Creek at the conclusion of the current contract. Council at its meeting tonight also determined to seek public feedback on plans that aim to foster a sustainable and thriving future for Hunters Hill and make getting around easier. A draft Community Infrastructure Plan (CIP...) and a draft Bike Plan will be placed on public exhibition. A community consultation program for the draft CIP will also occur throughout September and October, in addition to the public exhibition period. 17.01.2022 A special spot on the waterfront at Clarkes Point has been dedicated to Harper Dowdall as a place for family, friends and the Hunters Hill community to reflect and remember. Harper’s parents Lee and Helena Dowdall were joined by Mark Bennett in his last official duty as Mayor on 8 September in dedicating a memorial bench seat to their beautiful three-year-old daughter. 06.01.2022 Mobile CCTV will be installed at key locations in Hunters Hill at peak usage times to promote community safety. Hunter’s Hill Council resolved tonight (26 October, 2020) to install a CCTV solution at Woolwich Baths during the summer months. The technology would be relocated to key locations at other times of the year. PLUS: Council is to receive a $455,733 boost for local infrastructure through the Federal Government Local Roads and Community Infrastructure Program. Our expert beekeeper was called in, and following a successful removal, the pub's patron could return to the car, and most importantly, the bees will be given a new, more suitable home. 05.01.2022 All Saints’ Anglican Church is a significant landmark in Hunters Hill and as a volunteer rector’s warden, Meridith McDowell-Jones is a driving force behind maintaining it for the community. Looking after the All Saints’ building is just one of the many responsibilities that Meridith has taken on while working alongside her fellow parishioners for the past 20-plus years. It is community service that has earned her recognition as a Hunters Hill Hero. From 9:00am - 12noon on Saturday 17 April, interested community members from across the region can receive valuable information on how to run for election and the role and responsibilities... of a Councillor.
