25.01.2022 Congratulations to our 28 Senior swimmers who competed at 2020 NSW State Championships last week. Outstanding results were achieved by all team members. Hunter came 4th in the overall team point score, 2nd in female point score and Charlie Hawke chosen as Swimmer of the Day for his efforts in the 18 yrs 200m fly. Thank you to our coaches for supporting our swimmers this year Arnold's Swim Centre

25.01.2022 In line with the restrictions placed on social gathering in place from both the NSW and Federal governments which are expected to be in place for 6 months, CVSA... has taken the heart-breaking decision to cancel the 2020 Short Course Championships scheduled to be held in June. We understand the frustration that many of you will feel, but given the situation unfolding with the COVID-10 pandemic, we were left with no other option. COVID-19 has also forced the cancellation of many of our local meets as well. We recommend that you keep watching the CVSA website to stay informed of future swim meet cancellations. Stay Safe!

25.01.2022 Congratulations to former Hunter Swim Club member Shelley Clark for being selected as the next inductee to the Australian Marathon Swimming Hall of Fame. Shelley was coached by Shane Arnold and the late Eric Arnold at Arnold’s Swim Centre. An amazing career, a well deserved award

22.01.2022 COVID-19 Update Dear Hunter Swim Club, This evening we have received information from SNSW, advising against hosting competitions for the next 30 days. In line with this advice, we are suspending Friday Night Swim Club Competition for the next 30 days. Unfortunately we will also be suspending Club Championships scheduled for this Saturday 21st of March.... We further acknowledge the disappointment on the news that Nationals has been cancelled for 2020. To all our dedicated athletes that have worked extremely hard and qualified for this event, at a suitable time we will ensure that you are recognised for this achievement. At this stage NSW Junior State Championships has been rescheduled for the 9th & 10th of May, which clashes with our Summer Presentation. We will advise in the coming weeks on updates of both events. Finally, congratulations to our Team that has just competed at the NSW State Open Championships. As a Club we will continue to monitor the news for further updates and encourage everyone to follow the SNSW website. Peter Sutherland HSC President.

21.01.2022 Good afternoon Competitors entered in tomorrow's Eric Arnold Memorial Meet have been emailed the Meet program and entry list. Please print at home as no programs will be available for sale on the day. A reminder warm up at 12:30 and competition to start at 1pm. ... Please observe Social Distancing guidelines at the pool, any breach may see competition ceased. Please ask swimmers to be aware of lane, heat and event numbers and remind swimmers they are not to congregate in large groups. The attached QR code must be scanned on the day of the meet and it is preferred to be done prior to your arrival. Just take a screen shot of the confirmation message and show the pool staff on arrival. There will be a separate meet competitors entry point at the front of the pool. Please make swimmers familiar with the events, heats and lanes they are in so we can streamline this and reduce the need for multiple swimmers congregating in the marshalling area. We intend to run the meet as per the attached meet program. Please do not attend the meet if you cannot affirm the below I declare that I or my Family Members: Have not visited or had visitors from ANY designated NSW Government COVID-19 HOT SPOTS Alerts in the LAST 14 DAYS. Have not been to or had a visitor from any of the currently listed locations linked to the NSW COVID-19 Outbreak in the LAST 14 DAYS. Have not been or had a visitor who has been overseas in the LAST 14 DAYS Have not travelled on a plane or cruise ship in the LAST 14 DAYS. 17.01.2022 Shave for a cure Ella Cleare is one of our National squad members and is seeking support to help raise much needed funds for the Leukaemia Foundation. On the 28th of February Ella will be shaving her head for a cure and her gorgeous locks will be donated for those in need of wigs.... This has some importa...nt information for entry into the facility. Please note that there is only ONE spectator per family and no non-swimming siblings. Strict COVID-Safe restrictions apply.

11.01.2022 We would like to wish our Open Water team all the best in Adelaide at the 2020 Australian Open Water Swimming Championships beginning 25th January. Our Club President presented the team with their National Team representative kit this morning at training. We would like to recognise what an achievement it is in qualifying to compete at a National level. Go Hunter SC!

10.01.2022 Fabulous news in from the 2020 Australian Open Water Championships! Our relay team won a Silver medal in their event! An incredible achievement. Congratulations also to Tom Dever for a Silver and Isabella Campbell for a Bronze medal in their respective 5km swims. Congratulations to all our swimmers for a successful meet.
