23.01.2022 Basair Graduate (2001) Anthony Baillie Q: "What was a highlight from your time at Basair?" A: "I learnt the other side of the business too. Not just flying - but the management side as well. That exposure set me up perfectly for the airlines. It only took me 2 years to get to a grade 1 instructor level and get some IFR work. The fast progression was definitely a highlight. I became a professional at Basair, not just a pilot."... #AimHigh at it's best.

23.01.2022 Basair Graduate (2007) FO Harvey Ramirez Q: "What was a highlight from your time at Basair?" A: "My experience as an instructor. It is the purest form of multi crew. They (students) have little experience in the aircraft, so you have to let them make mistakes and not take over. Let them learn from errors. Communicate in an open and clear way, but also show empathy and guide their progress. Like coaching. Really instructing makes you a much better pilot because it prepar...es you to work with every crew and in every environment. It fostered my managerial skills, which later on helped me lead in the airlines." #AimHigh

19.01.2022 Basair Graduate (2007) Training FO Andrew Cox As Training FO, Andrew teaches ground courses for the other pilots! Q: What was a highlight from your time at Basair? A: "The instructor rating I did at Basair has really made my career. My colleagues have always seen the qualities in me that I developed as an instructor, and have streamlined my progress because of it, because ultimately the industry wants training captains. I credit that to my time at Basair."... #AimHigh

13.01.2022 Basair Graduate (2012) FO Serwan Hermiz, flying based out of Detroit. His Captain (left), Mehrdad Khayambashi, also known as Metro amongst his Basair colleagues, is a Basair Graduate as well! All Basair Alumni Crew! Q: What was a highlight from your time at Basair?" A:"Definitely the flyaways. Flying with fellow students around the outback really helped develop my technical flying - fuel mangement, dead reckoning, landing on different types of strips and just general...ly being able to apply skills to every different circumstance and environment. It's actually integral, because at the airlines you're expected to fly whenever it's legal to do so, obviously. So, in the US - with snow and gust winds and all different types of flying conditions, you need a varied background to prepare you for those kind of situations, and I got that with from my experience with flyaways at Basair." Thousands of miles away and flying the skies together! What a wonderful way to #AimHigh!

02.01.2022 Hey guys, Teancum Kumar here, CPL student at HVA. Welcome to my first episode - Flight Planning! Before pilots go on every flight, we have to submit a flight plan so that air traffic control knows our plan at all times. This is the program we do it on to ensure all our flight details are with the air traffic control tower. We also have an in-house program so that Basair can track where we are, in case we need help at any stage. Here’s a rundown of how we do it! I Can #InMyStripes
