25.01.2022 First half of the F2 race from today. Water very choppy, and blowing a gale, the event was called off after this race due to the conditions. Good racing today. As you can tell from the conversation in the video we were a bit impressed by Peckys driving and when from the bank it looked like he smacked the turbo button a few times!
24.01.2022 As we make our preparations for round 1 of the inaugural Formula GP format in the Australian Formula Power Boat Grand Prix series, kicking off in less then two weeks at Lake Hume Albury. We would like to take this chance to welcome Simmons Landscaping to the team. Follow Gavin and his crews work via the Simmons Landscaping face book page. We also thank Cohen Performance and Hunter Valley Fire for your on going support.

24.01.2022 Counting down to our season launch next Friday!
20.01.2022 Yesterday we had our first test session for the year at the Raymond Terrace club day. We were able to chase down a few minor gremlins ahead of the AFPGP Australia Series round 1 in Taree this coming weekend. The Molgaard F2 Optimax showed great pace up against some F1 boats and we are excited to download and study the data this week to see where we can make further improvements ahead of Practice 1 on Saturday. We would like to thank Steve Joel and Tamara for crewing yesterday along with Cohen Performance and Hunter Valley Fire. Photo Credit: Quinnos Quick Snaps
20.01.2022 After experiencing loss of trim during our Australia Day test session, this was found to be caused by a line failure. We have since fitted new lines and carried out a systems check on the trim system and are now ready to start packing for round one. #formulagp #HVF-R
20.01.2022 SST120s on the water now, we are waiting on the ramp for the F2 race one.
20.01.2022 Weekend recap: reception at the track was limited. What a format Formula GP went down putting on a spectacular show and we can’t thank the AFPGP club for the huge effort behind the scenes to put it all together. Unfortunately for us we found ourselves still chasing our Engine Trim Gremlins all throughout the week end. We managed to get a second place in our second heat race which is a positive to take away from the weekend, however our qualifying, first heat race and the fi...nal was plagued with trim issues forcing us to circulate around the outside of the course to gain points. We would like to thank: Our sponsors Hunter Valley Fire, Cohen Performance and Simmons Landscaping. The HVF-R crew Steve, Tamara and Tahlia for your efforts in the pits and getting the boat in and out. CD Marine for diagnosing an engine fault code for us at short notice. The AFPGP and all the officials Sports Film Work’n on it live stream Tim Seabold who made the trip from the USA We will be working hard over the next few weeks to sort through the issues ready for round 2 at Mulwala next month.
20.01.2022 We apologise for the lack of updates over the weekend, however it has been one to forget. Friday started off with heavy wind conditions seeing all practice sessions run under caution flag until late in the afternoon. Caution was lifted once wind conditions eased where we got to do some prop testing. We came in to practice and further more qualifying on Saturday morning strong taking a P3 grid position for race one. That is however where our luck ended, we got a good start off the dock in race one however in a very busy turn one made contact with another boat which put us out for the rest of the weekend, disappointing outcome however we as a team will regroup and get back to the water asap
18.01.2022 We are back!! This weekend saw the first gathering of Formula GP boats sine RND1 Albury back in February with Taree aquatic club allowing the AFPGP to run along side its 2 day December meeting. We had a great weekend qualified 5/12 and bagged a podium with a 2nd in our first heat race and a 4th in our second heat race. Unfortunately we suffered minor damage to our best suited propeller following heat 2 forcing us to use another option for the final. The final was action packe...d and a mighty tight squeeze off the start, we ended up taking home 6th place. Very happy with how the boat performed showing good signs of speed gain and cornering ability. Hunter Valley Fire Racing would like to take this chance to thank our crew Steve, Tamara and Tahlia for their efforts over the weekend, Ricky Howard for carrying out servicing and modifications to the hull during the down time, Paul Kirkby for servicing the gear box in time for the weekend and our sponsors Hunter Valley Fire, Simmons Landscaping and Cohen Performance. See you in 2021 (photo credit Quinno’s Quick Snaps) See more

07.01.2022 To our followers it may have seemed a bit quite on the Hunter Valley Fire Racing Page over the last couple of months. However that has been quite the opposite behind the scenes. We would like to take this chance to extend a huge thank you to Ricky Howard for his tremendous efforts and workmanship in bringing the HVF-R Molgaard back to A1 race condition, following the AFPGP Mulwala Round 2 Series Event. We will now start the re-fit process and aim to run some shake down testing ASAP. From the team at Hunter Valley Fire Racing see you on the water soon
