12.01.2022 The Friends of Grossmann House are hosting a Heritage Walk in the Maitland suburb of Bolwarra on Sunday April 18 commencing on site at 2.00pm meeting on the cor...ner of Westbourne and Maitland Roads. Known as the 19th Century Gentleman’s Suburb, Bolwarra is one of Maitland’s most prestigious addresses. Our Heritage Walk will be guided by our inimitable guide, Wayne (Huck) Campbell, who has been enthusiastically leading the majority of our Heritage Walks for many years. Wayne has an extensive knowledge of architectural history which he will bring to bear as we walk the leafy streets of Old Bolwarra. Following our walk an afternoon tea will be waiting for us at Brough House, a short drive back to 73 Church Street, Maitland. Please advise of special dietary requirements when booking. There will be some uneven street walking on unpaved surfaces. All proceeds from the walk go towards the ongoing maintenance of Brough and Grossmann Houses. $25.00 / $20.00 National Trust members. Bookings essential. Phone Holly 02 4933 3330.. Photo caption Bolwarra Barn. Photo Holly McNamee The Old Bolwarra Heritage Walk is a part of the National Trust Heritage Festival.
