So today was the first day I forgot to put my fitbit on, not realising of course until I got 45min into my 2hr walk this morning whilst the car got a pink slip ( ha just realised that it is a pinkslip and a greenslip- very fitting ) lucky I was listening to music and had my phone- so there are some steps missing! 14.01.2022 So who can you expect to see in tonight's watch party? Lots of talented musos that's who! The clips will run in album order so get the lyric sheets out and prep...are to sing along! One exception... we're gonna kick off with a great version of Release that @sampjbolt sent about 2 minutes after I asked for people to take part. His enthusiasm convinced me I could actually out this together! There'll be something for fans of The Safety of Life at Sea fans, with Kris joined by Amy Viola on a stunning cover, Dubbo rockers Killing Time drop in, Simon Allen from The Unclaimed Millions gives us some guitar goodness, Darren Smith Music joins in with his plaintive rendition of a favourite too... Clinton Hoy [that's me! of course I put myself in], Team Lovebone (aka Dubbo supergroup), Fred Randell and Nolan Furnell from Civil Hands and Eraser music respectively, Will North and Ben Dawson from Sondernaut and Sunset Pass closing out the show. There's also a couple of tracks by people I don't know but when you hear their versions you'll understand why they had to be included! Special thanks to The Violin Kat for giving me permission to use her incredible take on a classic PJ track too! Everyone has put in a lot of time and effort and asked for nothing in return, and I'm happy to call these people friends. Their support has been overwhelming so if you've got the time, maybe throw them a stream or share for their own tunes. Check out their pages and tell your friends about the awesome people! I am thankful to say I have exceeded my goal and now am wondering with onl...y a few days left if we can double it?! I only need $313.51 to get to $2020 which would be fitting!!! 07.01.2022 An explanation from someone with Huntingtons, I can relate to this so much, my brother has to pause the telly if we are watching and I ask a question, the "nois...e" from the telly is to overwhelming whilst trying to concentrate to have a conversation. He is also happy just to stay home, not wanting to go out anywhere. "I have HD and I live alone....HD changes the way we process and how we deal , living alone for me means that I control the NOISES in my day, having tv, radio, phone, electronic media games ALL these are just too much....the HD brain can no longer deal with MANY sources of INPUT.....AND we may NOT even realize WHY we are AGIATATED, but I have found that by NOT having BACKGROUND distractions of NOISE or MOVEMENTS that I do not get as AGITATED nor am I as EMOTIONAL or SHORT TEMPERED with others when I am able to FOCUS on ONE thing...or ONE PERSON/ one on one conversations, one on one activities, .having more than ONE person doing something around me, OR having more than one activity going on in the same room I am in, or being able to HEAR other NOISES of another person's activities is enough to AGITATE my brain because I can no longer focus .my brain is trying to process everything as it used to and because of HD that is NO LONGER POSSIBLE so it creates AGITATION which can and does translate into EMOTIONAL OUTBURSTS as the agitation reaches higher and higher levels .EVEN when I am NOT AWARE of what is happening or able to put a finger on it......so for me living alone , NOT choosing to SOCIALIZE or ATTEND family gatherings / events that create that AGITATION is NOT because I do not LOVE .BUT because I do LOVE....and recognize that I no longer have control over my emotional responses / outbursts/ when in such situations." #huntingtonsdiseaseawareness #hdawarenessorange #beseenwearpinkandgreen

06.01.2022 Day 29 #walk4hopehd2020 month, and with only 1 day to go I did some mammoth walking today trying to get my 300km, I am sitting at about 260kms so not sure I wil...l totally get there by tomorrow, may take a couple more days Busy work day, combined with walk around ploughman's wetlands followed by my usual walk has ended up with STEPS ; 20,260 Attire; Feeling kinda groovy woth my pink and green today . Thankyou to the lovely Wendy Dibble and Lyndal Mathews for donating their steps to get me to my 300km mark! I wasn't too far off!! THANKYOU all for supporting this cause which has affected my family beyond comprehension, along with so many other families in the Central West, NSW and Australia. Huntingtons Disease needs your help to be heard and recognised for what it is- "The Worst Disease of Mankind" an our families deserve the support, funding and acknowledgement that other diseases receive. Including the small amount of cash donations I have doubled my original goal of $1000.00 so again, thankyou, I am humbled.
