13.01.2022 As a part of an independent review of palliative care services in WA, researchers at the Perron Institute are currently seeking the views of patients with a life-limiting illness, as well as their family members, friends and carers. Anyone who falls into one of the following categories is asked to complete a consumer survey to provide patient and carer perspectives on palliative care: This review led by Professor Samar Aoun will look at patient experiences and preferences w...hen receiving palliative care, as well as the perspectives of their families, friends and carers. It will also explore the needs of those who were unable to access palliative care. The findings from the survey will be discussed with service providers in consultation forums across the State to develop recommendations for enhancements in palliative care models in Western Australia. The survey provides a vital opportunity for the consumer voice to be heard and we ask that you share this link within your own networks.
