25.01.2022 This Saturday at Aldi some cheap camping gear. That swag is a similar design to the Oztrail which I actually own and like. You can roll the top right back and is it unassembled. Which is perfect as a spare bed or just sleeping at a mates place.
21.01.2022 Another Aldi find 39L Waeco fridge. Not sure if it's any good or whatever, but not a bad price for a fridge.
20.01.2022 Got the opportunity to shoot the CZ 515 American in 22mag the other weekend with @firearmownersunited what a quality piece of machinery! For those not aware it's a lever release. Convinced me to buy one, I've got a deposit down on one, have to travel to toowoomba to pick it up, because there are none left.... Can't wait to get the thermal on top and get some rabbits in Stanthorpe!
20.01.2022 A subscriber decided to plan a last minute hunting trip to the snowy high country, weekend just past. As he got close to the property blizzard conditions set in. Seeing a sambar spiker on the way in to the property was a good sign. The next morning they got up early and set foot. Conditions had cleared and there was good snow cover on the ground. After a few hours of searching they found a bachelor mob of fallow bucks, spooking them at first, they took off. He back tracked ...and caught up with them going into the next gully over. The scrub was thick and he had to shoot fast, letting a 130 grain Remington core lokt go, from his Sako 85 in .270 Winchester. The shot felt good, he saw the buck take the impact, but lost sight of him through the snow covered eucalypts. Closing the 100m gap from where he shot. He found him expired, from a broadside heart/lung shot. The snow started falling again. The experience of hunting fallow in the snow is not one he'll soon forget. He said following fresh tracks and blood trails in the snow was an unreal experience. Well done mate looks like a great hunt and some awesome photos to be proud of!
20.01.2022 Finally got my trail camera back from my brother up at 1770. Got some photos of a dog. Unfortunately of 2 months on site, these were the only photos. So need to pick a better location for the camera. However I've relocated it to the new block in a very high traffic are, will find out in a week or 2 of any wild dog movements. 17.01.2022 Walked back over the same section of creek the following day where I saw the sign. Spooked 4 pigs out, not 5m from where I filmed for 2min. Probably the 3rd biggest pig I've ever shot so a good result. Another SSAA farmer assist success. 2nd pig for the year.

12.01.2022 Went out for a quick little sight in and decided to give the old Stirling model 14 a run with some Remington cyclones I had laying around. Not the best results at 50m but was still a great time!

05.01.2022 New 6ARC by Hornady (based on a 6.5mm Grendal case). What's your thoughts? It's another AR platform round, which has zero value in Australia unless you want to rechamber a 7615 or want a 6mm in a mini action light weight hunting gun. I'm keen to see how it varies from a 6 Dasher....
