18.01.2022 Hello everyone! We just wanted to touch base quickly and inform you of some misinformation that has been printed in the article titled 'Bonorong Wildlife Sanctu...ary's vet clinic a first for Tasmania' published today in The Mercury (link below). Unfortunately the opening sentence states that the wildlife hospital will be finished by the end of this month.... It should actually say that building works WILL BE STARTING at the end of this month. We are still waiting on a few final pieces of paperwork to come through, but we will be able to give you a proper update very soon with more details! Very exciting either way! :) Sorry for any confusion the article has caused with the mis-worded info! <3 the Bonorong team. http://www.themercury.com.au//ec844b04e628032fdd43253c96b2

14.01.2022 ROAD WORKS FOR HUON HIGHWAY - Glendevie Climbing Lanes What’s happening? Construction for the Huon Highway, Glendevie Climbing Lanes will begin in late January 2016 and weather permitting will be completed in Mid-2016. The contract for these works has been awarded to DCS Civil P/L. The Glendevie Climbing Lanes is an important project for the Huon region that will improve safety and travel times by providing overtaking lanes in both directions on the Huon Highway between Dover... and Geeveston. This project was identified as a high priority in the Huon Highway Corridor and the Tasmanian Government brought forward funding to complete these works. The climbing lanes will be located at Glendevie Hills, just north and south of the junction with Hopetoun Road and the work will include: construction of a northbound and a southbound climbing lane near the junction of Hopetoun Road at Glendevie Hills; relocation of a Forestry access road; and provision of G-Turn facilities for safe access to properties. Site working hours for the contractor will be, Monday to Saturday 7:00am to 6:00 pm. During the site working hours, traffic may be reduced to one lane. Short delays may be expected so please allow extra time for your journeys. For reasons of safety both lanes may be closed during tree felling. This is programmed to happen early in the works. Closures will only be for short periods. Please be patient and follow instructions from the road contractors. During site working hours the DCS Civil P/L Project Manager Simon Heazlewood can be contacted on 0457 099 949. Please direct any matters related to the construction works to this number. Further information Further information about the project including design images can be at viewed at http://www.transport.tas.gov.au//huon_highway_glendevie_hi See more
