21.01.2022 Things are back to normal after the recent bushfires - the fires resulted in a temporary evacuation of Castle Forbes Bay. Fortunately, due to the magnificent dedication of the Fireys, the fire did not spread beyond the hilltops around the bay, and there was no loss of life or property. The good side of it all is that the fuel load in the area west of the Huon has been greatly reduced, hopefully reducing the fire risk in future years. The climate is, as always, great down here. The forecast maximum today is below 20 degrees, whilst Sydney is expecting 37! This is the place to be.
