24.01.2022 Today was girls versus boys at Huon Valley #Pickleball. We welcome new player Dean and farewell Wil who is heading back to Queensland. She has promised to visit again later this year. Wil is very happy to be taking home a Prolite Ignite paddle and is looking forward to joining a club when she gets back.

15.01.2022 In a SUPERHUMAN effort Huon Valley Pickleball has been accepted as a dealer for Prolite Sports. Prolite has been producing great #pickleball paddles since 1984. An order is on its way along with another order placed with Manta. But, as I have found with COVID, don't expect the paddles to arrive faster than a speeding bullet!

13.01.2022 Welcome to the Huon Valley Pickleball page. My name is Rob Cooper, owner and operator of a Tasmanian Private Tour business called Tasmania I-Drive. COVID-19 has caused my business to go into hibernation for the present. With my new found free time I have begun running pickleball sessions at my local sports centre. I must thank Phil & Roy from Southern Tasmanian Pickleball for introducing me to this great sport late last year and helping out with the running of our open day. Held on 16th August it was a huge success thanks largely to the players from the Kingborough Sports Centre, with a special mention for the assistance given by Ann. The Huon Valley Council operate the Port Huon Sports and Aquatic Centre and advertised the open day through social media channels and printed fliers.

05.01.2022 I was asked yesterday about the best shoes for #pickleball. As we play indoors in Tasmania I have purchased badminton shoes and find them very good. This video from Prolite is excellent as a guide to what you should look for in a shoe.

01.01.2022 Congratulations to Zoe and Phil from the Southern Tasmanian Pickleball crew at Kingston. A great result for you both in the 50+ Open Singles at the Queensland Open! Just a reminder that to improve at Singles you need to practice. We have Social Singles at Port Huon Sports & Aquatic Centre from 3:30pm Thursday afternoons. Cost is $7 with your own paddle. We now have 4 courts available for play. Singles #pickleball is also a great cardio workout!
