23.01.2022 #BREAKING NEWS - #NSW, #Australia #Repost @emma.hurst BREAKING: We just passed a Notice calling for tougher penalties for animal cruelty in NSW. ... NSW has the lowest penalties for animal cruelty. The maximum for a ‘standard’ act of animal cruelty is just $5,500. By comparison, the max is nearly $40,000 in Victoria and $50,000 in Western Australia. Slap on the wrist penalties do nothing to deter abuse. One of my election promises was to increase penalties for animal abuse- and we are now a step closer to achieving this. We have the support of the Upper House on this issue so we are writing up the legislation to bring in a Bill next month. If we continue to allow people charged with animal cruelty to get away with weak penalties, then we accept and legitimise violence in our society. Sign the petition to support our Bill - link in bio

19.01.2022 Thanks to local business https://www.facebook.com/FXPlastics1/ We have super Covid Safe Screens in place for extra protection for everyone for necessary face to face meetings. We are also taking temperatures prior to entry with contactless thermometer. We are only seeing one client per day to allow for cleaning and air purifying between clients so there are longer than usual wait times for face to face appointments. 17.01.2022 We can now complete your Estate Planning Documents by video conferencing!!!!! We are pleased to announce that Solicitors/Lawyers are now able to witness documents using remote video conferencing. What this means is that documents such as Wills, Power of Attorneys, Enduring Guardianship, Affidavits and Statutory Declarations which normally would require a witness to co-sign face-to-face can now be done remotely by video conference and are considered to be lawfully signed documents. New legislation has been passed in NSW to make this helpful change of law - the Electronic Transactions Amendment (COVID-19 Witnessing of Documents) Regulation 2020. People who are not tech savvy would still require someone to set up the video call for them of course. However - it is a very useful amendment of the law.

14.01.2022 Coronavirus (COVID-19) RESPONSE PRECAUTIONS We have ceased any unnecessary face-to-face meetings with clients and are maintaining a sterile environment within the office. For new and existing clients who have access to the internet, we have video conferencing available to reduce face-to-face contact for everyones health and safety.... Clients are asked to adhere to social distancing protocols when coming into the office and during conferences. We are fortunate in having a large office space which allows enough room for distancing. Please utilise our hand sanitising gel upon entry and exit. Please stay seated and minimise contact with any surfaces other than the chair and table. Seating and tables, door handles etc are being disinfected after clients exit the office and prior to entry. Lets keep safe!!
