25.01.2022 Dear Clients and friends, Due to the Covid 19 pandemic and mounting pressure from governing bodies as of Monday 23rd March 2020 Hurstbridge Massage will be temporarily closing its doors until further notice. Dan Andrews as well as our governing Massage Associations have recommended the shutting down of all ‘non essential’ businesses and services to further contain the spread of this deadly and rapidly changing virus. ... I have been really struggling with this and putting off making this decision for quite a few days with mixed emotions ,as many people will now not have that local trusted person to turn to help manage their physical and mental health concerns. After consultation with fellow Therapists and close colleagues, it seems unfortunately the correct decision to take , especially in light of more positive cases in Melbourne in the last 24 hours. -We all need to be a little bit more risk averse in the face of such a frightening and serious threat. Please understand this is an extremely difficult and unfortunate decision, both financially and personally, as it hurts me to see clients left without someone to help manage the many and varied issues that Myotherapy and Remedial Massage clinic sees on a regular daily basis. I will review the ever changing situation daily but this situation is likely to last for a few weeks. Thankyou for your patience and understanding. I am doing this to protect my own health and my family but also the health of my clients and all there families and some of which will be in the more vulnerable group of Australians whom this Coronavirus regrettably wont miss. 17.01.2022 THIS FROM MASSAGE MYOTHERAPY AUSTRALIA : Whilst we are not included under Allied Health officially, our industry is included in the Chief Allied Health Officer’s portfolio. The Chief Allied Health Officer indicated she was not able to confirm whether or not massage, remedial massage or myotherapy are able to return to routine services and that she is trying to clarify this. At this point in time she advised that our members are not to commence routine services until confirmation is received and it is important to note that the announcements have provided some easing of restrictions but it is not a formal move to the Third Step

16.01.2022 Hip bursitis giving you grief? Here are some tips from another sufferer 1. Avoiding foods and drinks that cause inflammation. Increasing foods that help inflammation. Look up anti-inflammatory foods... 2. Making sure you massage and stretch often 3.Icing 4. Epsom salt baths 5. taking magnesium pills at bedtime 6. taking turmeric pills containing ginger root and black pepper extract(black pepper activates the turmeric in your body) in the morning or when I am in pain. 7. avoiding tight clothing 8. the mattress you sleep on, for me its softer that help. Or an egg crate mattress topper works wonders 9. strengthening your leg and butt muscles. 10. posture, the way you stand, walk, sit and what you sit on. 11. CBD oil or cream 12. Comfortable shoes
