18.01.2022 Hello I'm going to tell you how to kiss STRESS goodbye today. You know, bye-bye, don't want you know or ever.... Okay you ready for this? Have a comforting cup of TEA. Doing this at least once a day... ... will help you bounce back faster from everyday stressors, according to a study in the journal Psychopharmacology. I'm not a big reader of that journal, but when I found this, I had to share it with you. What the scientists that ran this test found was: Levels of the stress hormone cortisol dropped an average of 47% in volunteers who drank a cup of black tea BEFORE completing stressful tasks. Not bad huh? So make sure you have some tea around in case you feel the need to relieve yourself or you know you're going to get into a stressful situation. Have a great week and enjoy your life. Sincerely, Dr. Greg (Chiropractor)

17.01.2022 How To Prevent Cavities! Greetings I know I'm a chiropractor.... But... Today I'm going to talk about preventing cavities. Now don't get me wrong, don't forget who your dentist is. And don't take this advice in the wrong way. I'm not giving you advice about dentistry. I'm just giving you a tidbit I found pretty interesting. I'm going to talk about raisins. Raisins are good for you right? Well what if I told you that eating raisins can help you prevent cavities. Would you like that? It's true. While I was doing some research, I found this article and I just wanted to share it with you. Raisins are sweet and sticky, but researchers at the University of Illinois College of Dentistry found that they are packed with phytochemicals that 'slow down' the growth of cavity-causing bacteria! I don't know about you, but if I can eat something like raisins and prevent cavities, I'm all for it. Make sure you're spine is checked this week at the office. You want healthy teeth, and along with that, you should want a healthy nervous system. That's it for today. Eat those raisins and make sure you don't miss your adjustments. All the best, Dr. Greg (Chiropractor) PS In your next email I'm going to tell you the "How to Lower Your Blood Pressure Naturally." Make sure you read it. You might need it in the future.

13.01.2022 Hello You're going to love this email if you want to reduce your chances of having a heart attack.... Why? I'm going to tell you a secret that will help you protect your heart. Here's what you do. Tune into your favourite sitcom. Why? Because. In a new University of Texas at Austin study, when volunteers chuckled at a funny video or sitcom, their blood vessels immediately WIDENED by 17%, allowing for more BLOOD FLOW-and they stayed dilated for a full 24 hours. Pretty amazing. That's key since increased blood pressure makes it easier for your heart to pump, reducing your risk of heart attack and stroke. Pretty important if you ask me. I just want to say thanks again for being a patient and your referrals. You're a great person, and I care about you. Have a great day and make sure you forward this email to people who you like and want to help. Sincerely, Dr. Greg (Chiropractor) PS In next weeks email I'll tell how to eat less by drinking this special type of tea. Don't miss it.

12.01.2022 Hello Today I want to talk to you about fighting fatigue.... Fatigue is something that kind of sneaks up on you, as you age. Or that's what they say anyway. But here are some helpful little tips that can change that. All you need to do is one simple thing. Soak up some sun. Yeah, get out in the sun. Dutch researchers found that enjoying just 10 minutes of sunshine BETWEEN 12 p.m. and 4 p.m., helps ERASE sleepiness and keep you raring to go... all day long. Now I don't know why you have to do it between the hours of 12 and 4, but I believe it's because the sun is more concentrated at that time. Also, make sure you start getting at least 10 minutes of good sunshine at lunchtime to help fight fatigue if possible. That's it for today. All the best, Dr. Greg (Chiropractor) PS In my next email I'll tell you how to burn more fat. I think you'll be surprised what I'm recommending. Don't miss it.

10.01.2022 What's the answer for this disease Hello You're going to like this email.... Why? I'm going to be talking about IBS. That's the abbreviation for irritable bowel syndrome. You may not have it, but I guarantee some of your friends or family do, so make sure you send this email to them. They'll be indebted to you forever if you just take this the next step. So why am I talking about IBS, and what's the big secret about IBS? --------------- Go for a WALK. --------------- Yes, go for a walk. Regular exercise can relieve constipation in folks with irritable bowel syndrome. That's what the International Journal of Sports Medicine wrote recently. So how much do you need to walk to see a change? Aim for 30 minutes 7 days a week. This can be moderate walking, but just make sure you're walking and you're doing this everyday of the week... if possible. When you feel comfortable, move that to one hour of walking everyday, 7 days a week. You'll be surprised with your results. Just give it some time and watch what happens. After about 21 days it'll all get easier, and that means you're going to not only feel better but you're capable of doing this if you want it bad enough. Sincerely, Dr. Greg (Chiropractor)

09.01.2022 Hello Jo Mathews is in the clinic this coming Saturday at 10.30 to give another one of her popular Essential Oils workshops. She covers a lot of health topics and can show you how Essential Oils can make you healthier stronger and have a heap more energy. Best to call the clinic on ... 9579 5166 to book a spot for the workshop. Now for this weeks health email ------------------------------------------------------- I promised you in my last email that I'd be writing to you about how to lower your blood pressure, so here we go. Keeping your blood pressure in check prevents heart attacks and strokes. An Australian Diabetes, Obesity and Lifestyle Study (which took blood pressure measurements) indicates that around 3.7 million Australians over the age of 25 had high blood pressure or were on medication for that condition. This equates to 32% of men and 27% of women. Here are some tips on how to lower your blood pressure. Take 10 relaxed breaths per minute. "Calm breathing reduces production of stress hormones and that's essential for keeping arteries relaxed and blood pressure in check," says cardiologist Nieca Goldberg, M.D., author of The Women's Healthy Heart Program. New research has found that simply taking 120 mg. of coenzyme Q10 everyday can lower blood pressure, erasing hypertension for half of the people studied! And here's another good one. Microwaving your potatoes. A surprising new study revealed that eating two 1-cup servings of potatoes daily (microwaved or baked to keep the fat levels low) trims blood pressure as effectively as oatmeal-without causing any weight gain! I personally think if you're going to do the spud thing, you bake them. I don't like microwaving that much. Now one thing most people don't realise is that a potato is packed with 1,081 mg. of blood pressure lowering potassium. And last of all make sure you're adjusted. I've taken patients blood pressures, adjusted them, then checked the blood pressures again. Everytime an adjustment helps their blood pressure, so make sure you're aligned and adjusted regularly. That's if for this time. Hey make sure you comment on these emails when you're in the office. I love your feedback. Oh yeah, make sure you're forwarding them to your friends as well. It's good to share. All the best, Dr. Greg (Chiropractor) PS The latest research reveals that cutting back on sugar makes a far bigger dent in blood pressure than salt. In fact, avoiding sweetened drinks and eating fewer desserts erases high blood pressure for up to 77% of people within THREE months. Dr. Jacob Teitelbaurm, M.D. says, "High blood pressure sugar is very irritating to your artery walls, so the less you take in, the more relaxed and healthy your blood vessels will

08.01.2022 Hello I talked to you last week about sunshine and how it can help you fight fatigue, but today I want to tell you how you can burn off more FAT. ... And when you do this, you're going to take off some of those EXTRA KILOGRAMS that have been plaguing you for a few years. Here's something else. If you're into looking good and feeling good this is going to be a great tip you can use starting tomorrow morning. You might have made a new year resolution to take some kilograms off but for some reason, you're no longer on track with that. No worries. If that's true, Try working out - (if you work out) BEFORE breakfast. You'll feel better and you'll start to see some changes pretty quick. According to current research, exercising AFTER not eating for several hours-like a night of sleep- can prompt your body to BURN MORE FAT for fuel. So don't EAT after 7 PM. EVER. In fact, some volunteers who exercised before downing an oversized carb-rich breakfast... gained VIRTUALLY NO weight AFTER SIX WEEKS, while those people who ATE the same breakfast BEFORE working out... packed on a kilogram. Not a lot, but when you think about that being just six weeks, that can add up by the end of the year. You'll find that your previously toned muscles bounce back pretty quick, even after months of inactivity, according to research.
