25.01.2022 Our 1st Hurstville Scout Hall is looking great after being beautifully painted by Urban Trend Painting Solutions. The cost of the painting was covered by a very generous grant from Hurstville RSL Club. Our Group has a long standing relationship with the Club as since 1919 our Scouts have proudly supported every ANZAC dawn service that has been held in Hurstville.

24.01.2022 Many of you know Luke Meyers. He is a Venturer from 1st Cobargo Scout Group. He is also a member of the Buckajo RFS and has been fighting the Werri Berri Fire i...n the Bega Valley. He has been working 12 hour shifts with his RFS team trying to control this fire. Did we mention he is only 17?? Luke, your Scout leaders are all so bloody proud of you and grateful for everything you are doing. We also have leaders and scouting families fighting the Werri Berri, Badja and Border fires as part of fire fighting teams and defending their own homes. Stay safe everyone!

16.01.2022 This week I had the opportunity to speak to the Parliament about the Hurstville Scout Group, the oldest scout group in Australia. This year, they celebrate 110 ...years of continuous service. The group comprises some 100 young people aged between six and 26 years old, and they are supported by a dedicated and talented group of volunteer leaders. It is an incredibly active group in our local community, participating in things like Anzac Day festivities, Australia Day council citizenship ceremonies, Graffiti Removal Day, National Tree Day, Relay For Life, NAIDOC Week and a host of other community events and adventure activities. In these activities, young people in our communities can gain confidence, learn problem solving and develop leadership skills.
