A cause of death has not been revealed. A statement issued on behalf of Denise's family said: 'The singer Denise Johnson has died suddenly at home in Manchester. 'Denise had been ill in the week prior to her death but t...old friends she was much better on Friday. The cause of death is not yet known, although she was discovered, holding her inhaler, on Monday morning'. Denise sang on Primal Scream’s classic ‘Screamadelica’ album as well Pet Shop Boys ‘Can You Forgive Her?’ and Michael Hutchence’s solo album. Despite her long career with so many dozens of recordings she was only in the stages of planning her own solo album recently.
