22.01.2022 Staff away sick so I had the milking shift today - the goats had a leisurely walk into the dairy in the sun. Nice day so no one in any real hurry to move!

21.01.2022 We have had a bit of a Muttley medal time over the past few days. Gold at the Delicious Produce awards in Melbourne for our Bo Peep sheep milk cheese. Two top Golds, 3 Golds and 2 Silver at the Royal Adelaide Show. Four of the cheeses were joint affinage projects with Grace at Say Cheese so we are really pleased that the collaboration is resulting in some great cheeses. (For those of you who are a bit young to understand the Muttley reference - he was a cartoon character who wouldn't do anything unless he was promised a medal his aim being to look like a North Korean General!)

21.01.2022 Amazing sunsets over the last week. The good thing about waiting for girls to kid is that we get to enjoy the scenery around the farm a bit more.

20.01.2022 Still in a milk drought waiting for girls to kid. A couple have kidded and we have the sweetest babies to feed. One has the funniest ears -nick named the Flying Nun ( showing my age again!)

20.01.2022 Hope everyone is having a good Christmas! Have spent the last couple of days waking up a San Francisco sour dough starter that a friend bought back frpm the U.S. 10 years ago. Baked my first loaf today and made a very morish banana bread too. Lots of fun and great with the cheese!

18.01.2022 Full on excitment at our place this afternoon! Max, Fifi and Muppet hard at work snoozing while I am looking for a field mouse that has gotten behind the fridge in the kitchen.

13.01.2022 A State Winner for the delicious Produce Awards for our Bo Peep sheep milk cheese - next stage is the national judging against other state winners. We are very excited about Bo Peep she has been created working with Grace from Say Cheese in a traditional cheesemaker and affineur relationship. We make the cheese and Say Cheese manage the affinage process to suit the end customer. Bo Peep is the first cheese in this partnership and we have a few more that we are working together on so watch this space.

10.01.2022 Daylight saving change so dark in the morning again. Nice view out of the kitchen window though of a solitary goat on the hill waiting for the sunrise.
