21.01.2022 We had such a good time last weekend that we're coming back to the Sutherland Shire Farmers Market http://www.shirefarmersmarket.com.au this weekend (Sat 15 December) with four great garlic cultivars Monaro purple, Italian Purple, Italian Reds and White Crooknecks

18.01.2022 In the last few weeks we've pulled up a lot of garlic in sleepy old Hartley Vale

17.01.2022 In the meantime, Janis has been collecting around half a tonne of coffee grounds each week from cafés in Newtown and the Sutherland Shire before taking it up to Hartley Vale to compost. Here's a photo of our 'black gold' that's going onto garden beds and Simcain doing some mean shovel work from the back of the ute. It's early days, but we're developing this circle as a 'proof-of-concept' to show its possible. We're now going to collaborate with others to make it a more viable process, and hopefully one that will become much bigger and involve more people and businesses

17.01.2022 When developing the direction of the Hartley Vale Good Garlic Co. I was heavily influenced by concerns over climate change. And now we're seeing reports like this .... I hope you'll join us on this sustainability journey https://www.theguardian.com//australia-extreme-heat-sign-o

12.01.2022 We're gonna be selling delicious garlic at Sutherland Shire Farmers market this Saturday! We'll have 7 different cultivars for sale to tempt and delight your taste buds. Looking forward to seeing everyone. Chelle : ) http://www.shirefarmersmarket.com.au

11.01.2022 We've been busy, busy, busy (despite the extraordinary heat). And we're ramping up to let you know more about HVGGC's contribution to the 'Circular Economy'. Ross Gittins has a great article on CE. We're hoping to send you (and Ross) some good news soon https://www.smh.com.au//squaring-the-world-s-waste-circle-

06.01.2022 This is why we're growing garlic using sustainable farming methods. Thanks again to everyone who has supported us!

01.01.2022 We'll be holding our first stall at Sutherland Shire Farmers Market http://www.shirefarmersmarket.com.au on Saturday 8 December from 8am to 1pm. We'll have four different garlic cultivars for sale Monaro Purples, White Crooknecks, Italian Reds and Italian Purples. Each one lovely and stinking in its own delightful way : )

01.01.2022 A good Christmas is a stinking Christmas! Here is some christmas garlic sculpture from Simcain as well as a handsome shot of some Italian White garlic that will be ready in early January!
