21.01.2022 Turtle Nesting Season is well underway, so please remember not to drive on our beaches out here, including Frog Rock, Cape Gloucester you could be endangering 100’s of baby turtle lives.. or even an adult turtle from laying her eggs! Please also remember not to leave your outside lights on late at night as it can confuse the baby turtles in the way to head to the water!

20.01.2022 We would like to introduce the Feather Star! A little known resident of Hydeaway Bay! *This is not the actual specific species that lives here but just an example of what they are if you see one.

18.01.2022 Local champ, Suzie Buttigieg, kicks a goal for Hydeaway Bay. This message from Suzie - "Post office finally replied to my request to have our suburb correctly printed so that we will be able to have our Driver's license's in the correct spelling of HYDEWAY BAY and NOT HIDEAWAY BAY. This should change on Google and all other internet address books as well. Finally some action after months of lobbying.

17.01.2022 This East Gosford Community Garden is helping to connect the locals ... many who live alone in nearby units. It’s run by the Rotary Club of East Gosford, with volunteers welcome to come along to help or just have a chat every Saturday morning. Would you like one in your suburb?

17.01.2022 Not posting to deter visitors but to make people aware on our beaches and bushland surrounds in Hydeaway Bay. ALL LOOK DIFFERENT? Well beside the colour they are all the same species. Eastern Brown snakes. So please don't try and identify a snake by it's colour. Snakes are out now so please watch your pets and if they get bitten please seek help in case they are venomous snake. Better to be safe than sorry.

16.01.2022 Here are the results from the online survey completed by the council.

12.01.2022 What a sight to behold! How beautiful!

10.01.2022 Please make sure you have your say, this will be great for our community! And I think there will be a lot more activity then just passive bird watching I think it’s our community’s turn to get a bit progress here! Let’s all get behind it!

05.01.2022 In recent weeks we have see an increase in sharks being close in on our beaches, out here at Cape Gloucester, right through to Nellie bay and we have also had an increase in more people fishing off the beach, which totally acceptable but leaving fish frames, and gutting fish is not, please respect the area gut and fillet your fish at home not on the beach. We all want to keep enjoying this area and keep it pristine as possible.
