22.01.2022 WINTER BBQ’S ON AGAIN Where Sports Park, 417 Hydeaway Bay Drive, opposite the Caravan Park. Starting Friday 28th June from 5.30pm, and run every Friday for 6 weeks. This year’s proceeds go to the Bowling Green and some concreting under the Club House. Your support for the BBQ’s helps raise the funds needed to run the club, and offer very inexpensive sport and recreation activities to everyone. Work should start on the new bowling green within 12mts

15.01.2022 The Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) would like to provide you with an update on the Dingo Beach boat ramp project. In our last email to you, we advised the boat ramp would remain a part-tide facility and we would investigate options to provide improved access. The investigations are now complete, resulting in some slight amendments to the initial concept plan. These changes were deemed necessary to suit the location.... It is intended to excavate a small basin at the toe of the ramp to improve launching at lower tides. It is planned for this work to occur after the completion of the boat ramp works. Another option considered the use of a long flex-mat extension to the ramp. This was deemed not viable due to the very flat beach slope and likelihood of increased propeller damage when transitioning off the fixed ramp onto the flex-mat. The revised two-lane ramp design provides improved user access during the available tidal window. A contract for construction was recently awarded in September 2019. Next steps for the project are outlined below: Late-October 2019 construction commences Late-November-2019 ramp completion, weather and construction conditions permitting. Construction is likely to take 4-5 weeks, weather permitting. The boat ramp will be closed for public use during construction. The project team will provide you with further details on the timing of construction and closure of the ramp as soon as this information is available.
