23.01.2022 UPDATED HEALTH ADVICE Testing criteria for coronavirus (COVID-19) will be increased in Cairns, Gold Coast and Brisbane as a precaution following the detecti...on of cases with unknown sources of infection. The increased testing has been ordered to head off the risk of sustained community transmission. If people in these cities present at GP clinics or fever clinics with acute respiratory symptomscough, sore throat, shortness of breathand the cause cannot be determined, they will be tested for COVID-19. For the rest of Queensland, testing for the time being will continue to be people who have symptoms and have returned from overseas in the past 14 days (including from cruise ships) or those who have been in contact with a confirmed case, or are health care workers. 21.01.2022 UPDATE: Kirwan drive-through has now closed. Latest information and open clinics can be found here: https://www.townsville.health.qld.gov.au//coronavirus-th...hs/ A drive-through COVID-19 community assessment clinic will open this morning at Kirwan Community Health Campus, 138 Thuringowa Drive, Kirwan. The clinic will operate from 8.30am until 6pm, seven days a week. Testing will only be provided to people who have: been overseas in the last 14 days OR been in contact with someone with confirmed COVID-19 AND have mild symptoms (sore throat, cough, with or without fever) For health advice contact 13 HEALTH (13 43 25 84).

We have to ensure the health of our GP's, Nurses and staff are being looked after, so from today we will not be seeing patients in our clinic with cold/flu type symptoms. As a reminder, we are offering telehealth consultations at our clinic. These appointments are available and bulk billed if you fit the government criteria Aged at least 70 years old. o Indigenous and aged at least 50 years old. o Pregnant. o A parent of a child under 12 months. o Immune compromised. o Have a chronic medical condition that results in increased risk from coronavirus infection.
