19.01.2022 Dear Hydra Family, We had our first 2 outdoor sessions (conditioning and mobility) this morning. They went really well, heaps of space for us to train with plenty of distance between each other and I know a lot of you are keen to keep up some in person training as long as we can. (We also had a visit from 2 friendly police members after class who confirmed there is no issue with us running outdoor classes like we did - so if anyone was concerned, there is currently no quest...ion that this is permitted within the current level of restrictions.) I am currently working on a new schedule on Zenplanner to accomodate Outdoor Sessions, Zoom Sessions and Home Workouts. I will try and maintain a similar schedule to usual, but with the following changes: - Outdoor Sessions twice a day during the week for as long as the restrictions permit (weather permitting, these will run at 6am and 6pm) - Zoom Sessions at 12 noon - Saturday morning yoga will continue via Zoom - Sunday morning conditioning and mobility outdoors - Starting next week, new home workouts will be posted daily (rather than 3 x week) and will be accessible through an app called SugarWod (details to follow). Outdoor Session numbers will remain at 10 (including coach) as per government guidelines, and there is no limit on the numbers who can join our Zoom sessions. Please forgive me if I delete any of your existing bookings on Zenplanner while making these updates. Please check/book your sessions in later this evening after 5pm and feel free to give me any feedback thats relevant to our current circumstances. To give you some more information on what's happening at our end, we are clearly still afloat, which is great. The biggest uncertainty for us at this point is rent - we have a wonderful big space which is our biggest overhead - and which unfortunately we cannot use right now. However, the government has not yet announced, and our landlord has not yet offered, any rent relief. As a result, we are making some of the changes above to contain costs ... but in a way that continues to give you as many training options as possible during this uncertain period. If our rent situation changes, we will probably have more options and certainly will be in a better position to forward plan. We will keep you posted if anything changes on this front. Finally, I want to thank so many of you for your ongoing support during this strange and challenging period. One of the great things coming out of the chaos is the reminder of how valuable our connections and support networks are. We are so happy to be able to continue training with a lot of you (whether outside or across computer screens), and can't wait til we can see you again in person under more usual circumstances.
