18.01.2022 There is one thing we have definitely learnt this year, and that is just how much we enjoy actually being with our loved ones. Actually sitting in the same cafe, same room, same table, sharing coffee or a hot chocolate from a cup and having a good old fashioned chin wag. A catch up. A debrief. A meeting. A chat. Little did we know just how important this scenario was to our health and wellbeing. And aren't we all missing it? House party catch ups just aren't the same are they...?! Today marks the annual R U OK? day. This is always an important question to ask any day of the year, of course. The awareness and importance for mental health has never been greater than this year as we collectively go through an unforeseen change to our lives. Whether you are at home more, at work more, parenting more, separated from loved ones more, or any other scenario (there are so many), it is so important to accept where you are at. We have never done this before! If you are wanting to ask your loved ones this super important question, but are not quite confident in how to go about it, take a bee line to the R U OK website or @ruokday. When making a booking for the weekend, credit card information will be requested, your card will not be charged unless there is a no-show or late cancellation of the booking. 13.01.2022 Wow what a week!! The lockdown fro has made the front cover of the @ballaratcourier, our website pulled some extra stunts, delivered catering, sent out the first night of our weekly dinners, we've dusted our tables, prepped solidly and a whole lot of other things to welcome you all back in! We will be opening our doors to welcome both Dine In & Takeaway from tomorrow (Thursday!). As you would all know by now, while restrictions are lifting in some areas, we have some other r...estrictions that we are to operate by, and some that we need to implement to be fair to everyone and make this as sustainable as possible (unfortunately we don't have outdoor seating available so inside it is!). A few main ones: Max of 20 customers allowed to dine in at any one time Limit of 45 minute sitting. Meals ordered if seated Please stay home if you are unwell No table bookings We will be using the @waitmateapp again for you to let us know you are coming, remain in your car, and we will text you when your table is ready! So easy. If you prefer not to use an app, simply call us and we will organise it for you. Dinners will continue to be available! Feedback is that these must stay! So they will. We are now offering Family and Single serves. While we now have more movement amongst ourselves, some of you may not feel comfortable dining in just yet. That's ok. No reason why you can't enjoy a delicious breakfast at home or at the park in our new found sunshine. We are also offering a smaller version of our Breakfast Box we offered for Fathers Day. 06.01.2022 What a buzz it was to have so many people enjoying themselves with us over the weekend!! Sitting on seats, talking face to face, drinking from a cup (the winning comment we heard!), and eating off a plate. We will never take doing the dishes for granted again!! Thankyou all for your patience as we get back into it again. We are working to ensure social distancing and high hygiene are upheld while we count heads! You can be assured we have hand sanitiser for you, your tables are sanitised after every sitting, and you will be seated to ensure you are at least 1.5m from another group. It is without a doubt that there has been some decent pressures applied to hospitality businesses in Regional Victoria over the past weeks and months. It is also without a doubt that decent pressures have been applied... to our friends in the hospitality industry in Metropolitan Melbourne. We would understand anyone who felt like they were at the yellow brick road cross roads with Dorothy looking for Kansas City.
