We need YOU to keep us open in such difficult times. POOL WATER STANDARDS We assure you that War Memorial Hospital hydro pool water and surrounding areas are extremely clean and meet NSW Health National Health standards. Our pool water composition contains Chlorine and it also filtered via UV source. The water quality is reg...ularly monitored and it is physically tested three times per day by War Memorial staff on site. WET ENVIRONMENTS Mr Norman Swann advised against the use of public pools; these generally can be larger sites that are not as well maintained as the War memorial pool. Our change room have matting that is regularly drained and cleaned to reduce the risk if any infection transmission. As we enter these unprecedented times, we understand the fear and uncertainty you are all feeling. Everyday in the media there are changes occurring with the Coronavirus so we are doing our utmost to ensure your safety. Hence things may change a little but its all for the best interest of your health. CHANGES Small changes introduced for your safety: Keeping numbers down in the pool to only 4 people at any one time - so please stick to your allocated appointment times so we can manage these numbers (this allows for the social distancing of 1.5 m between each client) We aim for two people in the change rooms at any one time. We are trying to regularly clean down of surfaces in the reception area and change rooms please advise desk staff if there are any issues with cleanliness of the change rooms. We provide 3 sites of hand sanitiser in the pool area for your use on entering and departing the pool. Stricter time frames where all clients to be completed their sessions by 30-45 minutes maximum. We recommend a 14 day absence from the pool if you have travelled anywhere overseas. Please do not attend the pool if you have a fever or cough or cold. Client use of two towels - aim to put a towel on the bench seat in the change rooms when are sitting to change. Thanking you all for your support in these difficult times. 08.01.2022 Coronavirus (COVID-19) update: We are closely monitoring the Coronavirus outbreak and the information provided by the World Health Organisation and NSW Department of Health as well as guidance from the Australian Physiotherapy Association (APA). All of Hydro @ Waverleys regular pool sessions and classes will continue to run as normal.... We will continue with our high standards of hygiene and cleaning, increasing it further around high use areas around the pool, such as door handles, pool equipment and surfaces. We also encourage the use of hand sanitiser. What can you do? The most effective method of preventing the spread of illness is through good personal hygiene. This includes frequent hand-washing during your visits and covering your mouth and nose with a tissue when coughing or sneezing. Hand wash and hand sanitiser are available at the pool. Many of our clients have multiple health conditions. We kindly request that you familiarise yourself with the latest guidance and do not attend the pool sessions or classes if:- You have recently returned from a Category 1 specified country (China, Japan, Iran, Republic of Korea, or Italy), within the past 14 days You are feeling unwell and believe to have been exposed to Covid-19. If this is the case, you are advised to self-isolate. You should telephone your GP, health clinic or hospital before you arrive and tell them your travel history or that you may have been in contact with a potential case of coronavirus. You can also call health direct on 1800 022 222. You must remain isolated either in your home or a healthcare setting until public health authorities inform you it is safe for you to return to your usual activities. If you have any queries, please call us on 9386-4354 or email [email protected] We will continue to monitor the situation closely, adapt our plans as necessary, and keep you updated on any changes. We thank you for your co-operation and look forward to continuing to welcome you into the pool. The Hydro @ Waverley team #coronavirus #health #hydroatwaverley #nsw #pandemic @ HYDRO at Waverley

03.01.2022 Were back for another day of LBP #MythBusting fun! Today, an important message about movement: if you experience #pain when you move, it DOESNT necessarily me...an youre doing harm. The pain you may feel during exercise is reflective not of damage to your back, but often rather sensitivity of the spine and surrounding muscles. This pain is normal, and will usually settle with time. Its also important to note that exercise is one of THE most effective ways to treat pain. If you need help with exercise, or even just some reassurance that what youre doing is safe, pay your physio a visit.
