17.01.2022 Hydrobiology has been busy this month undertaking a dredge spoil characterisation project at a marina within the Whitsundays, QLD. The team utilised a Vibrocorer to effectively collect sediment samples from a dredge channel within the marina. These samples will be analysed in accordance with the National Assessment Guidelines for Dredging (NADG) to assess contaminant sources before commencing dredging operations.

03.01.2022 Hydrobiology has been surveying some beautiful creeks to the west of Ipswich. Electrofishing is a common method that provides an efficient means of sampling fish populations to inform waterway health. The fish are identified, weighed, measured and rapidly released back into their environment to swim freely.
