22.01.2022 Hello parents and caregivers! We’re just getting in early with Plan B for Concert Pickup tonight in the event of heavy rain. We will be asking parents to wait on court one (the main performance area) and we will bring one class out at a time to be collected. 21.01.2022 Exciting concert news! After many phone calls, information confirmation and triple checking every detail... We are so beyond excited to announce...... The 2020 End of year concert is going ahead as planned ... THIS WEEKEND ... 28th and 29th of November at the Mount Gambier Icehouse. This means that our concert rehearsal will go ahead on Friday 27th of November - the times will remain the same as previously planned - please refer to your concert checklists. We apologise for the number of times that our plans have fallen subject to the changes incurred by the COVID-19 restrictions. We know first hand how difficult it is to keep up to date. How have we managed to pull this together I hear you ask... -Our performance is classified as a ‘recital’ being a culmination of the dance skills students have learnt throughout the year - it is not a music festival or music concert or an event where you are permitted to move around freely. -it is being held at a venue that caters easily for the 1 person per 4meter square rule. -we have a current covid safe plan. -we have multiple COVID Marshalls on site. -all audience members will be socially distanced. -all food and beverages will ONLY be consumed whilst seated. -whilst the basketball stadium is closed for community sport, dance is allowed to resume. The Icehouse and directors of hype dance mount gambier have had multiple recorded phone conversations with the COVID-19 information hotline to make sure every possible detail has been considered and approved!!! We can honestly say that we are so proud to have navigated our way through such a trying time for us all. We are happy that our students are being given the opportunity share their progress with you all. What a year 2020 has been! Thank you for your continued support. 18.01.2022 We successfully made it to the end of 2020 We only have one class left for the year that has most certainly been a challenge for us all, and that is the monster crew audition on Monday 7th December. The concert marks the completion of the year for all of our 2020 classes. We are looking forward to what 2021 has in store for us all! ... Our enrolment day is being held on Saturday 16th January 2021 from 10am to 1pm at the studio. Don’t panic if you haven’t returned your 2021 enrolment form yet, we will be in the studio regularly throughout the holiday period so simply slip your form under the door and send a message to find out when we will be there. We will let you know as soon as the 2020 concert DVD/USBs and photos are ready for collection We want to thank you all from the bottom of our hearts for your continued support throughout 2020. This year has challenged us in many ways, but it has also taught us a lot of important things too. We have learnt that we are resilient, increased our compassion for one another, proven that we can all adapt to change, heightened our means of communication and made us realise that ‘rest is best’ regardless of the illness or ailment - no questions asked. We are so proud of our community and our ability to all work together! Stay vigilant, stay safe and spread kindness not germs. If 2020 has taught us anything, it is that circumstances can fall subject to change at any time and we then all find ourselves adapting in a heart beat.... We are so grateful to be in the position where we can hold our end of year performance for families to see what our students have all been able to achieve in such trying times. Just a reminder that ALL classes are being held at the icehouse (tonight, Thursday and Friday). Again we are blessed that we have the opportunity to have some extra practice in the performance space.
