11.01.2022 LAUNCH DAY PARTY! August River Band have dropped there first album! Releasing over the day on all platforms, with a massive album launch tonight playing the Tivoli Main Room from 7:30 pm... "The release of 'Thank You Pain' is the culmination of 2 years work, with Eev Ferreira explaining that "The album is an ode to Pain. I am deeply grateful for its teachings. Make no mistake I don't like it and certainly aim to avoid it but, alas, there is no greater mentor. The songs on this album spans across the last ten years moving from a religious dogma to the secular one. Religion, self-actualisation, they are no different. In both you are constantly at war with what you are and what you think you should be. This all being said, Peace is not good for art." We had the fantastic pleasure of creating a visual concept for the release of this album over the last four months, developing the concept and ultimately distributing it digitally and with a short run pressed vinyl and CD. A big Thank you to Yama Nui Studios, Paul Bromley, Footstomp Music, 12th and Vine Post, Gyrostream and of course Gerard and Eev and the rest of the August river band clan! Lets party tonight <3
