22.01.2022 This image is just so beautiful. Birthing and bonding both happen in the part of our brain that is NOT the human part; it mostly works really well when we get out of that human neo-cortex! We have a lot to unlearn. That's why I teach hypnobirthing, changing birth one at a time!

18.01.2022 Stumbled accross this beautiful memory! These images stir so much in us, almost like a mini time capsule, and carry us back in time and emotion. Expecting a baby, especially a first, begins a whole new life chapter in so many ways. Me, on the beach in a foreign country, 19 years ago, full of baby and hopes and excitement. The baby, hopes and excitement were all realised. The birth and the subsequent 3 were amazing, empowering, beautiful. Which is a large part of why I teach ...hypnobirthing today! The story in the time since this photo has unfolded in ways that I had not foreseen, and the lessons have been varied and many. Sometimes I think I'd love to go back and do it all again, making changing where I feel I could have done better, smelling more flowers along the way. Being kinder to myself. But it's the journey that makes us who we are, they say, so I'm going to smile at the memories and give myself permission to feel peace and love about where I am now. See more

14.01.2022 Help our Victorian birthing mothers protect their rights to birth. The Australian College of Midwives has taken a strong stance on why women must be allowed to continue to birth in water, there are NO reasons to halt this practice for covid or anything else.
