25.01.2022 For Fiona Elisala-Mosby, art is intertwined with the transmission and preservation of cultural knowledge: ‘My work is based around my Aka (Grandmother). She lov...ed gardening, and she was a weaver too. She is my main inspiration. We need to maintain and preserve this knowledge, and make sure that it’s passed on’. And how do we best support artists during this time? ‘By talking, purchasing our art, and sharing our stories’, Fiona says.
