25.01.2022 Happy Hump Day IAM 360 Nation!! Helping you through the work and school week with another awesome IAM 360 athlete commitment story! Today we are sending a MASSIVE congratulations to South African Fencer, Travis Kroggel for making his official commitment to join the Men’s Fencing Program at Cleveland State University in Cleveland, Ohio for the 2020-2021 academic year!! No doubt most of you probably didn’t know collegiate fencing was a thing, but now you do!! Travis is a 201...9 graduate of Jeppe High School for Boys in Johannesburg, South Africa and we couldn’t be more proud to have him as part of the IAM 360 Program. Travis fences all 3 weapon disciplines: Foil, Epée and Saber. His preferred discipline is Saber, which basically means he’s pretty hardcore! LOL But for all you novices out there, Saber allows you to score points by slashing and cutting with the blade of the sword in addition to scoring point via the point of the sword. The other 2 disciplines only allow you to score by using the point of the sword. It was his preference for the Saber discipline that made him such an attractive recruit for Coach Chris Tulleners at Cleveland State. From all of us at IAM 360 we want to congratulate you on this phenomenal accomplishment, as well as thank you for allowing us to make this dream of yours a reality! We always say that if it’s offered in college we’ll make it happen, regardless of whether we have done it previously or not. Thank you for paving the way for others that come after you, as well as allowing us to broaden our spectrum of student’s that we are able to help. We are sending a MASSIVE congratulations to the one and only, Lara Van Heerden, for making her official commitment join the academic community at the University of Memphis in Memphis, Tennessee! Lara is a 2019 graduate of Afrikaans Hoër Meisieskool, Pretoria, and will be pursuing a course of study in Pre-Med. In addition to being an awesome ac...ademic, Lara is also right into her Chess and wanted this to be incorporated as part of her promotional process with IAM 360. After having a number of great schools to choose between, it was Memphis that took the cake for their great academic programs and campus traditions, but also for the fact that the city of Memphis is known for its strong Chess community amongst plenty of other great things like Elvis, BB King, and some of the best southern BBQ you’ll ever come across! From all of us at IAM 360 we want to congratulate you on this momentous accomplishment, and wish you all the best in an unforgettable US collegiate experience. Today we are sending a MASSIVE congratulations to South African Soccer Athlete, Tshepiso Ntuli for making his official commitment to join the Roadrunners Men’s Soccer Program at State Fair CC in Sedalia, Missouri! Tshepiso is a 2019 graduate of Pretoria Boys High School in Pretoria, South Africa and will be making the jump across the pond in January of 2021 to join his... new college and teammates. Today we are sending a HUGE congratulations to one of our Dancers, Erica Crowther for making her official commitment to join Dance and Performing Arts Program, as well as the student community at Converse College in Spartanburg, South Carolina for the 2020-2021 academic year. Erica is a 2019 graduate of St Mary's Diocesan School for Girls in Pretoria, South Afri...ca!! Erica has been dancing really all her life, and when presented with the opportunity to take her talents over to the United States to progress both her dancing and her education, she grabbed the opportunity with both hands. Erica does Ballet, as well as Contemporary dancing, and will no doubt add some incredible talent as well as some cultural diversity to the community of students and educators at Converse College! From all of us at IAM 360 we want to wish you all the best for an incredible and unforgettable experience abroad!! Today we are sending a MASSIVE congratulations to South African Basketball Prospect, Olo Masiza for sealing the deal and making his official commitment to join the Men’s Basketball Program at Missouri Valley College for the 2020-2021 academic year and beyond! Olo is a 2019 graduate of St Albans College in Pretoria, South Africa. Masiza is a tal...ented young guard that has his sights set on a memorable and successful collegiate career in basketball, while also working towards a Bachelors qualification in Business Studies. Missouri Valley boasts one of the strongest athletic programs overall in the NAIA, which is going to test him to the best of his abilities, while also supporting his growth and development by having multiple squads to increase his playing opportunities. Head Coach Chad Lance and his Staff are long time friends of IAM 360 are excited to now have access to some of our great South African students like Olo! Today we are sending a HUGE congratulations to South African Baseball Athlete, Kalheb Butler for making his official commitment to Join the Allen CC Red Devils Baseball Program in Iola, Kansas in 2021!! Kalheb is a catcher and an outfielder, and is a 2019 graduate of Edenvale High School in Edenvale, South Africa. The Allen CC Athletic Program made the decis...ion to add on a Reserve Baseball team in 2020, and doing so has opened up opportunities for more student athletes with a broader skill base. Being that Baseball is not one of the top national sports in South Africa, this gives an athlete like Kalheb the chance to improve upon his skills in the super competitive environment of the USA while also studying towards the degree of his choice. Butler will be pursuing an education in the field of Psychology! From all of us at IAM 360 we want to congratulate you on this awesome accomplishment. We are so thrilled that we have been able to be a part of your sporting and educational journey, and can’t wait to follow your development and experience once you land on US soil! Today we are sending a HUGE congratulations to South African Fencer, Jesse Ndjeka for making his official commitment to join the Men’s Fencing Program at Cleveland State University in Cleveland, Ohio for the 2020-2021 academic year and beyond!! Yep, you guys should have known that we wouldn’t stop at placing just one fencer into the States,... especially when you have 2 that are as talented as our lads!! Jesse is a 2019 graduate of Pretoria Boys High School in Pretoria, South Africa. Jesse’s preferred discipline in fencing is Épée, and if you remember from our previous fencing post the other 2 disciplines are Foil and Sabre. The Épée is a thrusting weapon and the heaviest of the 3 weapons, and the opponent’s entire body is a valid target in this discipline while only certain areas can score you points in the other 2 disciplines. Jesse has represented Gauteng at the Provincial and National levels while also having the chance to compete in some big international events against other countries in the Commonwealth. From all of us at IAM 360 we want to congratulate you on this awesome and unique accomplishment!! It has been amazing getting to know you and your family over these last 2 years, and we can’t wait to see you head off in just a few short months to go and chase your dreams. Today we are sending a MASSIVE congratulations to South African Rugby Athlete, Oratile Molatlhegi for making his official commitment to join the Iowa Central CC Rugby Program for the 2020-2021 academic year and beyond! Oratile is a 2019 graduate of King Edward VII School in Johannesburg, South Africa! Head Coach Brent Nelson is excited to welcome this promising young man i...nto the Triton’s Program and has no doubt that he is going to be able to hit the ground running once he arrives on campus in January! He would have loved to have him on campus already, but the obvious global circumstances prevented that from being possible. The Iowa Central Tritons are the reigning 2019 National Champions for D1-AA Men’s Rugby, so what a program to be a part of! From all of us at IAM 360 we want to congratulate you on this amazing accomplishment and are overjoyed that we have been able to be a part of your life’s journey these past 2 years. You bring so much to the table as a student, rugby player, but most importantly as a well mannered, respectful and appreciative young man. 10.01.2022 Happy Hump Day IAM 360 Nation! Getting you through to the backside of the week with a DOUBLE student-athlete commitment story!! Today we are sending a MASSIVE congratulations to both Diphenyo Maja (2019 Woodhill College Graduate) and Lesego Maloma (2019 Pretoria Boys Graduate) for making their official commitment to join the Men’s Soccer Program at Southeastern CC in Burlington, Iowa for the 2020-2021 academic year!! What makes this even better is that after some SERIOUS pe...rseverance from both of these lads, they were able to get their visa appointments sorted in time to make it to the US this term, and just over 24 hours ago touched down in Iowa, were collected by their coaching staff and teammates, and have been welcomed to campus quarantine until the results of their COVID tests come back. With the all clear in a few days time, these lads will be living their dreams of competing and studying at a great college in the USA! Head Coach Zac Newton is excited to welcome the pair from South Africa, who we promoted together as a package deal! Coach Newton is no stranger to IAM 360 as he himself used to be one of our student athletes that we sent to college in the USA in 2013, and after graduating with his degree assumed the role of Head Coach at Southeastern CC. He is also no stranger to recruiting talent out of South Africa, and both Diphenyo and Lesego join a supporting cast of teammates from all over the globe! From all of us at IAM 360 we want to congratulate you both on making this dream of you’re a reality, and we thank you for your trust and belief in the IAM 360 Program! Both of you did everything that was asked of you every step of the way, and in the face of what seemed like a certain delay to your arrival in the USA until January, like 2 men possessed you found a way to make it happen! 04.01.2022 It’s Monday IAM 360 Nation, and we’re here to set the tone for the week with another awesome IAM 360 Student commitment story! Today we are sending a MASSIVE congratulations to another one of our incredibly talented dancers from South Africa, Miss Jemma Van Jaarsveldt! Jemma too has made her commitment to join the Dance and Performing Arts program as well as the student community at Converse College in Spartanburg, South Carolina for the 2020-2021 academic year. Jemma is a ...2019 graduate from Grace Trinity School for Girls in Alberton, South Africa. Jemma specialises in Contemporary Dance and will be studying Dance and Musical Theatre at Converse, something that she is already thoroughly enjoying via correspondence. Although the current restrictions have prevented her from being able to be there in person just yet, she has started her coursework via Converse’s online platform. Not only that, but the college has made a real effort through various Zoom meetings to introduce her to other members of the student cohort and dance department, and even from abroad has already started making friends and feeling well and truly a part of the Converse College student community! From all of us at IAM 360 we want to congratulate you on this phenomenal accomplishment, and thank you for allowing us to play a part in your educational and extracurricular journey. Today we are sending a MASSIVE congratulations to South African Golfer, Rayne Schlachter for making his official commitment to join the Men’s Gold Program at Blinn College in Brenham, Texas for the 2020-2021 academic year and beyond!! This talented young man is a 2019 graduate of King Edward VII School in Johannesburg, South Africa. Head Coach David Johnso...n is excited to welcome Rayne to the program in January 2021 after an unfortunate and unavoidable delay due to Covid. Schlachter is a golfer that has done nothing but impress us and college scouts since the minute he joined the IAM 360 Program. He only decided to take up golf 4 years ago but has been able to progress his game freakishly quick going from having no handicap to a scratch golfer in a matter of a couple years unreal! It was this ability and the prospect of what he could become once he gets into the USA that attracted Coach Johnson to Rayne so much, and we couldn’t be happier to have made the connection between the two of them! From all of us at IAM 360 we want to congratulate you on this incredible accomplishment, and wish you nothing but the best for an unforgettable and incredibly successful collegiate career abroad. We will certainly be watching and supporting you every step of the way and we can’t wait to see that young adult and golfer that you become after just a couple years in the care of Coach Johnson.
