However, regrets are a natural part of human life - after all, if you didn't make mistakes, you wouldn't be human, right? Instead of viewing a mistake, lets just look at it as an "experience". By viewing your mistakes as experiences you'll experience less regret and guilt regarding the past and be able to better move on from your past experiences and practice acceptance. Clutter can distract you and weigh you down both mentally and physically. In general, clutter does nothing but simply invites chaos into your life and the environment where you live it. Releasing Unconscious Emotions This step encourages us to look at the next level of our emotions: the unconscious. Are there areas where you feel very stuck and nothing seems to create a shift for you? Becoming an Observer By becoming the observer of your own feelings you will come to a greater understanding of yourself and be better able to let things go as negative emotions release their grip on you. I first came across the benefits being an ‘observer’ through my work as a Spiritual Teacher and Energetic Healing doing Akashic Records and Crystal Dreaming journeys with my clients, now it is one of the most powerful tools in my healing toolbox. The idea is that . part of you observes what is happening even as it happens. When you observe in this way you feel as if you are standing outside yourself and observing how you’re feeling, what you are doing, and how you’re interacting with your environment. You learn incredible amounts about yourself by doing this and after a really short space of time you begin to have a greater understanding of your emotions. About opening the door and shinning the torch in. There is no pressure here, no list of ‘must do’s’ Some of the things that come up will be practical, others emotional. Here are some examples: forgive him forgive myself get a gardener enjoy the chocolate write a letter ask for some advice All that you need to make sure is that all the possibilities are ones that would make you feel good or better in some way. 10.01.2022 As we come towards the end of our Month of De-cluttering here comes a harder one for us!! Removing Toxic People Toxic people are those people in your life who a...lways seem to add drama and create stress. Toxic people could be at your workplace, family members, or even friends who always tend to cause more problems in your life and trigger feelings of anxiety, stress or even depression when you communicate with them. Recognising and removing the toxic people from your life whenever possible is vital to your own happiness and well-being. Toxic people are usually chronically unhappy, and hold feelings of resentment, jealousy or frustration towards you, often due to their own mental state and not as a result of something which you have done or said to them. Toxic people can suck the happiness out of you, and their attitudes, manipulation and even downright cruelty can leave you feeling guilty, ashamed, and unhappy. Toxic people are one of the biggest threats to your happiness, which is why determining who they are and distancing yourself from them is vital to ensure that you don't fall victim to sabotage. Tak...e each one of your moans in turn and write exactly how you would like it to be and why. Get into the feeling place. Even if the things are in the past or you feel you can’t do anything about them, it doesn’t matter, just identify how you would have liked things to have been. How you would like things to be now. Keep all your language positive, about what you want, not what you don’t want. It’s important again to be very honest. What do you really want? It does not matter if it seems to be in the realm of fantasy. This is your Well, What Do I Want? list. Treasure it. You will be adding to it and using it to build more positivity. So we need the interaction for others to benefit. Namaste Julie 5 Steps to releasing Emotional Clutter. If you imagine that life is a journey we are all on. Some of us have a destination in mind, we have a map and all the equipment and money that we need to get us there. Some of us have no idea where we are going and few resources but we are perfectly content with that, we just want to have an adventure and enjoy the journey. On our travels, we can encounter challenges that slow us down or change our course. Sometimes we let the challenges get us down, they make our journey less enjoyable and sometimes the obstacles stop us altogether, we feel stuck, unable to continue on the journey at all. This is what emotional clutter does to us. The 5 steps we are going to take is about how we can deal with those challenges and obstacles. Step 1: Identify Your Emotional Clutter Start a list of your gripes, moans, fears, anxieties, complaints anger, anything that springs to mind. Allow as much time as needed on this and keep adding during to this today as other things crop up. The most important thing to remember here is that the purpose of the exercise is to identify not to immerse yourself in negative emotions, to unearth what’s there so that we can shine a light onto it. So, don’t dwell on the negative feelings. If you do get emotional or bogged down, take a breather, go for a walk, a sleep, read, watch tv and come back to the list later on. It’s important to be honest even if you feel a little uncomfortable. Tomorrow we will look at step 2.........Namaste Julie

04.01.2022 Check your Mindset: Becoming a happier, more fulfilled and content person who exhibits positive energy and good vibes can only be achieved by one person: YOU Yo...ur mindset when you embark on the journey to de-cluttering mentally, emotionally and physically is to achieve a happier life, mindset, is one of the most important factors which you need to take into serious consideration. Be honest with yourself - what is your mindset right now? Do you feel positive and confident in yourself to make the changes that you need to in order to achieve your goals, or are you sceptical about the whole thing? Do you rely on other people for your happiness and well-being, or can you accept that you as an individual are the only person responsible for this? Entering into a plan for happiness with the wrong mindset is simply a recipe for disaster. Having the right mindset doesn't only include acceptance of mistakes as explained in the previous post, it also means that you'll need to transform your outlook on yourself and your own life and develop more confidence and security in your own ability to truly change your life for the better. 03.01.2022 Moving along with our Month of declutting for a healthier and happier life. Are you glued to your electronic devices? Do you find yourself spending more time co...mmunicating with friends and family over instant messaging or text message rather than meeting up and spending quality time in person? There’s no denying that technology is changing the way that we live. Currently, we’re living in the digital revolution where smart technology is playing a huge part in the way we communicate, shop, and complete tasks amongst many things. By advising that you ‘unplug’, we’re not suggesting that technology isn’t beneficial. In fact, quite the opposite technology can help to lift your mood by putting you in touch with old friends and family, providing lines of communication to important people who enrich and fulfil your life, and giving you the opportunity to learn new things. However, the downside to technology is that it can often create a disconnect from the real world. Studies show that the average smartphone user checks their device six times an hour and if you’re checking for just five minutes at a time, that’s a full half of your twelve-hour day spent on your smartphone. With that in mind, it’s little wonder that many people today are feeling stressed out and overwhelmed. Six hours per day is a long time to spend checking your smartphone and that’s without added gadgets and devices such as tablets, laptops, and televisions! What makes matters worse is that we’re the ones who are constantly interrupting ourselves, constantly feeling the urge to check our smartphones and other devices when they buzz or even when they don’t. What is this constant influx of information doing to us as people? It’s creating a world where people are stressed out, running out of time to get things done, exhausted and perpetually on the brink of catching a cold or even worse due to their fried, tired-out immune systems.
