24.01.2022 We just completed an APT twin river cruise from Amsterdam up the Rhine to Basel. We had to relocate by bus through Switzerland to Lyon to board our second cruise down the Rhone to Arles. This was followed by another bus trip to Nice. We tried an AirBnb for the first time in both Amsterdam and Nice and can only compliment both our hosts for a great time with them. We were surprised that Amsterdam has more canals than Venice and twice as many bridges. There were gastronomical experiences dining at Paul Bocuses Restaurant, French pastries, escargot tastings, exploring crusader castles and being amazed with modern architecture. We didnt break the bank at Monte Carlo, thought Nice was nice, walked the red carpet at Cannes. Now it is time to get ready for our next trip.

23.01.2022 Looking forward to our next cruise on the Azamara Quest from Dubai, around the Arabian Peninsular sailing past Oman, Yemen, Somalia and up the Red Sea. After going through the Suez Canal we sail to Israel, Cyprus and onto Turkey allowing us to be in Istanbul on ANZAC Day.

06.01.2022 Had a great time on a cruise on the Golden Princess out of Melbourne to New Zealand and there were several stops on our trip around. First was Milford Sound where we sailed in and out of a couple of of the gorges. We had a bumpy ride sailing around the bottom of the South Island to Dunedin where we caught a restored train up to Teriea Gorge. At Akoroa we had to catch the tender ashore to one of the prettiest places. Windy Wellington was next but it was pretty quiet on a publi...c holiday. Gisbon put on a treat for us with one of the schools bring the students in to perform dances and singing for us. There was a long bus ride from Tauranga to Rotarua for our rides on the Luge and cablecars. Unfortunately there was not enough time for to enjoy the hot springs but the bus driver made a diversion to a kiwifruit farm. Auckland was our last stop where the Ziplining was hard to resist and a lot of fun. Quick and easy to ride down but a long slow walk back up the hill for the bus back. See more

We were just in-front of all the Syrian refugees coming into Hungry and Budapest so have a lot of sympathy for the people in Hungry having to deal with such a tragedy. We were amazed and impressed at all the towns and cities with their history and buildings and thoroughly enjoyed sailing down the Danube, Main and Rhine Rivers. Staying in an apartment for a week in Paris was a great way to finish and get into the Parisian lifestyle. Oh La La !!! See more

01.01.2022 Once all the restrictions have been lifted, I guess everyone will be itching to get away somewhere, either in their caravan, travelling overseas or interstate. Consider India as we recently returned from a tour there and can highly recommend it as it is a land of vibrant colour and smells, of amazing forts and palaces, a land of total contrasts that will challenge all your senses.
