24.01.2022 Hawker // This time last year my family almost lost our farm when the raging bush fires hit the mid north coast of NSW. The embers fell all around the house. My mother was evacuated. We have the local men of the Utungun area to thank for saving our family home. Climate change is real. I want to thank @turnbullmalcolm for daring to speak out against the mainstream media, especially @rupert_murdoch and his publications that drive propaganda around climate change denial (sugges...ting arsonists were responsible for the blaze) and make climate change a matter of opinion. It is not opinion. It is physics, and very real science backs it up. We saw climate change ravage our country for many months last year. Let’s not forget and get complacent. Try to make one small change and stop making excuses. Educate yourself on what is really going on. Take climate change into your own hands. Ask your bank where your money is going and if they aren’t making the right choice swap to those that are. Swap your super. Support government who make the right choices for our planet, reject media that sells you false truths. Consume consciously. Choose second hand. Burning Man came a went quite differently this year, and in the honour of this year’s theme ‘multiverse’, I celebrated my burn night in a very different location to the desert! Lush green fields of Byron Bay. We burned a man none the less and spoke about what burning man represents. For me it is community, kindness, love and self expression. It’s also an opportunity to get creative and build something a bit different. 09.01.2022 Hawker // Covid has made sourcing in the USA a little tougher so I’m currently exploring new territory around Queensland. I haven’t been on the road in a while and it feels great to be exploring new towns, although no vintage to be seen so far .
