22.01.2022 Hi all I wrote these thoughts down 2 years ago on this date. When I snapped this photo I wasn't 100% that day but felt really encouraged when I saw these little purple pretties gifting me some inspiration. Today, 22 August 2020, as I walked outside with a client and saw our lawn once again carpeted with a myriad of "non shrinking violets" it made me smile ...It actually sort of took my breath away! I knew I needed to share these thoughts with you all. I hope it encourag...es someone today : "Violets that creep into lawns, grow in between cracks in pavers and in untended areas of the garden are braver than people give them credit! These little violas face the challenges of being trodden on, driven on, unattended and also have to face the extremes of weather. It's almost like they thrive on the challenges that confront them...they bounce up with vibrant colour and smelling divine and bring such joy. I don't know if I have ever seen a shrinking violet but believe me it won't be in my garden, as they are too gutsy and seem to be having too much fun popping up all over the place with cheery smiles. They add such welcome splashes of colour in the garden against the green of the weeds! I like tough plants! They inspire me and little violas come in many shapes and forms but these plants are not pansies by a long shot and I would be glad to be considered as stoic, bright, cheery and determined as the violets in my garden in Winter and the violas and pansies in the garden in summertime. Taking a leaf outa my garden and learning lessons! Bx "

19.01.2022 Diary entry from Thursday last week ... "I am amazed! My LipSense stays on even when I wear a mask! I don't like wearing the mask, but truly, who does! We do what we need to do to stay safe. I'll be glad when back to normal...what is normal...I've never been normal lol! As if I could ever do normal...bahahaha Using lipstick and foundation that doesn't wipe off with every wipe of my nose or rub from a mask just makes the working day so much easier. I love it! So easy! Today I... rocked Violet Volt under my mask to match my bright purple top while I worked with a client who absolutely loves purple. Me being me, I couldn't let it go unappreciated and took some selfies and we had a giggle! Gotta admit, a bit bright for me to wear normally but it was great to change the perspective to feel like a celebration on the colour of the eyes with my makeup and make a special guest star with the LipSense to reveal it to her...of course it stole the show and matched her purple top too! As I reflect on the day, our conversations and thoughts whirling in my head, I realise this was a good day and tomorrow is going to be exactly what I make it too." Love to all Bxx

19.01.2022 Adding a splash of colour as I face the day. LipSense is a combo of Purple Reign followed by Razzberry and then sealed in with Pink Sand Glitter Gloss. Cheeks are popping some cheer, also thanks to Purple Rein and Razzberry LipSense ... Foundation is Cafe Au Lait MakeSense with Fawn MakeSense as a highlighter across the upper cheek bones. Eyeshadow is Whisper Pink ShadowSense as base to lower lid and as under eye concealer to reduce appearance of dark under eyes. Amethyst SS as eyeliner to upper and lower lashlines. Onyx SS as outer > edge of eyeliner and then also used as a brow definer. Mascara is LashSense VolumeIntense Non Waterproof in Black. It's throwing happy vibes and matches my bright top so well.... what's not to love. 19.01.2022 Check out a couple of my macrame hangers I made during lockdown. I haven't actually got a clue what I'm doing as yet but what's "knot" to love about it as long as they make me smile Shhhhh....The plants keep sneaking in to the house on the low low but somehow I think my hubby has noticed! Some gifts from friends which make them extra special My purple top looks like a Salvation Jane flower against the green of the plants in the background. Fields of green and purple alw...ays make me smile Healing vibes from my plants ... mindful relaxation with the macrame...confidence with the make-up ... it is truly an all round winning feeling! 19.01.2022 Hi all How's the weather today!! It's awesome way to finish Winter with some warming sunshine. Here's my look for the day. Off to do dishes and clean the house now! "Oh joy oh rapture" as the scarecrow says in the Wizard of Oz ...I'll crank up some good music and make it fun though.... It's days like this when you know you look "together", feel good and quite calm in yourself that no one just 'pops in' You stay in your PJs til 1pm, have a headache and feel quite stressed out and you can guarantee someone comes a knockin' ....Rush rush as you see them rock up, Answer the door like an academy winning actress "Oh hello dahhhlings!! 16.01.2022 I started back at yoga last night and it felt sooo good. I know this image says "I'm flexible" but I'm actually referring to with my working hours ! I am a little sore today lol. I have a long way to go to with my yoga skills but it does feel like I've made a good health choice. I'm still a beginner but my confidence is up since committing to my own health and well-being. ... I am pretty wobbly with some yoga moves but rock solid when it comes to makeup and skincare moves. I can confidently say, my beauty knowledge surpasses my ability to elegantly "Tree pose" but I did exceed at lying on the floor NAMASTE ... I see your beauty dear ones what a beautiful word. The yoga teacher, Georgie is truly a naturally gorgeous woman. She is encouraging and affirming and makes me feel really positive, even when I'm fumbling along or get the giggles. Her calm prompts and technique correction help me to achieve maximum benefit from the class and she really is a wonderful teacher. I consider how I hope I make my clients feel when they come for makeup and skincare tuitions and treatments at my salon. If they feel like I did last night, I would be so happy and I know, so would they. My teacher inspires me so much by her genuine passion for what she does. That is what I want to do for my clients and followers; my prayer. I felt blessed, as I said a heartfelt thank you to her for the lesson and shared how good it was to be back, she, in turn, said she can't wait to come back to my salon for one of my pamper sessions. Without being huberistic, I honestly felt blessed to hear her compliments and witness a reflection of passion for our clients' well being in each other. I may not be able to teach you yoga but I sure can share my best make-up and skincare moves with you, to get your confidence flowing if you are keen for a lesson or consult. 13.01.2022 Who remembers these little cuties!! My Aunties used to sell makeup and I always felt so lucky to have them give me little testers and treats. One was my real aunty the other my mum's best friend. Both taught me so much about self care and presentation. I know that feeling is still part of why I love working with makeup so much. I've since found a way better lipstick and become very astute in my expectations of makeup, selling products I strongly believe in for more than ...just the feel good vibes but gosh, that joy in discovering new ways to use makeup has stayed with me since I was a youngster. Seeing someone's confidence light up when they learn a simple makeup trick to enhance their eyes, or brighten their face etc... I will never tire of it! Feelings, vibing with the products, connecting with a brand, experiencing empowerment of myself and others with the healing modality of colour, embracing an honourable selling ethos, making a difference to people's confidence...it's what I was born to do that! 08.01.2022 Facing the Day with SeneGence is as easy as 1..2..3.. when you only use 3 products to brighten and add colour to your whole facial palette .. Eye Illuminator ... a gorgeous combination of treatment eye creme and Pearlizer highlighter. Moisturising my eyes whilst brightening my face...I have loved this product since the first day I met it 3 years ago. I placed this under my eyes to give a reflective lift and brighten my face. I also wore it on my eyelids as a pretty... shimmery eyeshadow.$70 Papaya Gloss...This is the first time I have used this new gloss and it is so very pretty! Super simple to apply as lip gloss and I also dotted it on my cheeks then blended it on as a blusher to add a pretty peachy glow to my cheeks. I loved wearing this gloss as it added perfect moisture to my lips and complimented the colour of my top. $26 Non waterproof VolumeIntense Mascara in Black ... a tried and proven beautiful mascara that washes off with ease but also coats the lashes with a boost of volume, whilst applying a lash lengthening formula into the lash roots. Such a lovely product. $38 I used the mascara on top and bottom lashes and to keep the look super soft and pretty, I then separated the lashes with a disposable mascara wand, whilst still setting. Using the small amount of product that collected on the disposable wand, I then brushed the product onto my brows, creating a soft but fuller looking brow. I also believe it will assist with hair growth on my brows as it does my lashes. So there you go... easy as 123. Multipurposing cosmetic products brings me a sense of great satisfaction and justifies their quality being value for money. As with all SeneGence products, only a minimal amount of product is needed to achieve consistently beautiful results. 04.01.2022 Loved wearing this op shop top yesterday. Flowers and stripes are not patterns I would usually imagine together. It felt just right when I purchased it and I figure that stars and stripes made a big impact on the world so why not a little flower power with stripes in my own little part of the planet! A total bonus is it doesn't need to iron either! I matched it with only 4 products to add a little colour to my face. I gave foundation a miss yesterday, although it does make a...n uplifting difference to my overall appearance when I wear it. It was still nice to see that emphasising the eyes, cheeks and lips was enough to make a brightening effect on my face. I used: Light Sapphire ShadowSense as eyeliner on outer corners > area of eyes and blended in softly with finger pressing along the lash line. It picked up the light blue in the flowers and popped the navy background in the top Rosa ShadowSense as blush and also eye shadow was a great match with the peach tones in the top. First time I have used this new colour and it won't be the last Black VolumeIntense Non Waterproof Mascara ... applies with ease, always delivers great lash definition and helps pop my natural eye colour. Papaya Lip Gloss for my lips...this new colour looks like a bright orange in the tube but its truly gorgeous on. I've used it as blush and eye shadow in previous looks too This simple but pretty makeup look which was literally achieved in minutes and got me through the whole day with a few simple re-applications of the gorgeous Papaya gloss. 03.01.2022 Facing the Day in the salon with a splash of colour. I wore another op shop find today which was an absolute bargain!! You will never believe how much this quality top cost me... only 50 cents!!! .... Shut the front door right!!! My husband isn't keen on it but I've thoroughly enjoyed wearing it today. ... I think next time I wear it I'll rock it up a little with a black mini dress underneath and some black tights and boots. I can't wait to see if I can win Gary's thoughts on it. Perhaps I could change my hairstyle too.
