24.01.2022 This article is pretty confronting in the current environment but it makes some very interesting points. Thanks Paul Castaldi for sharing...

22.01.2022 Did you know...... We all love lillies & flowers at a funeral, and they are beautiful on a coffin, but sadly our furry friends don't understand that brushing against them or licking them can be fatal .....pollen on the stamens is poisonous to cats. Please be careful when on display at home ....... The RSCPA & Veterinary Associations have a more complete list of toxic flowers in case of any doubts.....IA

21.01.2022 Some lovely footage here of St Michael's..... a beautiful chapel to have your service for a loved one at Rookwood Cemetery

19.01.2022 This has been around for a while but it's a reminder of what you need to think about for your furry friends, if something happens to you. #ianjarthurfunerals #foreverhomeforyourpets

19.01.2022 Some great news for our families with the recent changes to Funeral numbers from Friday 15th May.... 20 mourners may attend an indoor service and 30 outside. A real positive en route back to normal times. Please continue to be mindful of social distancing and stay safe.......IA

18.01.2022 As of today, Funerals are allowing 300 mourners to services. Just be aware that many chapels due to thier size cannot increase their numbers due to the 4sqm rule still in play. Heading in the right direction but still a bit frustrating..... #ianjarthurfunerals #covidfunerals

18.01.2022 It was Jersey day last Friday and I hope you all asked what its about???. Its about organ donation and making sure to tell loved ones your wishes....Think about what it means to save another life.... #organdonation #jerseyday #ianjarthurfunerals

17.01.2022 A piece of history about to be replaced.....a lot of information, and also a lot of unanswered questions too .... #ianjarthurfunerals #glebecoronerscourt

16.01.2022 Moving into 21st century tech mode with our scanning app for the COVID-19 attendee lists.... worked brilliantly and no touching!!! #ianjarthurfunerals #covid19scanninglist

16.01.2022 Personally, I think this is a very beautiful way to have your mortal remains given back to nature........ #ianjarthurfunerals #humancompost

15.01.2022 COVID - 19 Update. There has been much talk of late regarding this terrible affliction and its impact on many businesses, sporting events, family events, and of course Funeral Services. We are advised by most of the Memorial Parks & Gardens we deal with that Funeral services will still continue to go ahead, albeit with some adjustments regarding crowds of mourners (max 100 inside a chapel/church) , viewings and wakes. We will continue to provide the utmost of care and professionalism to our families, working within the guidelines of Government requirements and the Crematoriums & Cemeteries that we use. If you have any questions or concerns , please contact us for an update ...... Rgds Ian, David, Chris & Peter.

15.01.2022 Funerals to Go Ahead ----------------------- Albeit with some adjustments regarding amount of mourners, please see attatched document. Please feel free to call if you have any questions..... Rgds Ian, David, Chris & Peter

15.01.2022 Did you know..... Australia Post provides mail redirections for a deceased, free of charge. If youre in charge of a deceased estate and are the executor or administrator of the estate you would be eligible for a free 12 month mail redirection. Enquire at your local Post Office.... Thanks #lindagunek

15.01.2022 For services at Macquarie Park it is now mandatory for mourners to wear face masks to services. Please ensure you have one as its your responsibility and you wont be allowed to attend a service there if your not masked up !!!! #ianjarthurfunerals #wearyourfacemask

15.01.2022 Here is a lovely way to provide some comfort for those who have some of those crippling illnesses. I remember we played some of my mothers favourite hymns to her in her final hours......

15.01.2022 Here is a wonderful opportunity for someone to enter the Funeral Industry by caring for graves of distant relatives.... Beautiful idea!!! #ianjarthurfunerals #gravemaintainence

13.01.2022 Well in the never ending quest for environmentally friendly coffins, here is the mushroom fibre one!!! #ianjarthurfunerals #mushroomfibrecoffins #environmentallyfriendlycoffins

13.01.2022 Im not sure where this headstone is, but its a spectacular creation. #ianjarthurfunerals #amazingheadstones

13.01.2022 Well as we have all heard, Funerals are to continue with 10 mourners, so this is the new norm for a few weeks yet.... I must confess the atmosphere is very different. Some say more personal, some say they miss family and friends. Whatever the feeling, we will continue to create the best possible farewell for your loved one, no matter the circumstances. #ianjarthurfunerals #livestreaming

12.01.2022 Whilst we are all having some downtime, perhaps you should use a moment to think about a few things.... - Are my affairs in order? - Do I have/need a will? - Do I want a funeral? - Do I want to donate my organs?... Doesn't have to be morbid, just responsible affairs management..

12.01.2022 You need to be concentrating at all times whilst driving a hearse, especially when going past a Police car ...... #ianjarthurfunerals #hearsedriving

11.01.2022 You all know my keen interest in Cemeterys, so in the current COVID environment it seemed apt to go and see a cemetery when the Spanish flu affect contributed to many deaths. North Head Quarantine Cemetery 3 was used alongside 2 others in the area for the epidemic....... some very interesting headstones and magnificent views of the harbour.....

11.01.2022 Went for an interesting bike ride around Parramatta today and came across this cemetery. It has 1500 unmarked graves which were people from the lunatic asylum, homeless, down n outs etc from the early 1800's. Also saw Gregory Blaxland's grave. One of the explorers who discovered the Blue Mountains..... #ianjarthurfunerals #allsaintscemetery #blaxlandlawsonwentworth

11.01.2022 An excellent example of why social distancing is necessary and why the government has implemented such tough measures. See how quick it gets out of control!!!! I know its difficult for mourners but its for the greater good going forward.

10.01.2022 A crowd of over 300 gathered this morning to farewell Colin, a 23 year veteran of the RFS, tragically taken by the recent bushfires defending his property on the South Coast. A much loved and admired gentleman who will be greatly missed...... R.I.P. "Rover"..... #ianjarthurfunerals #bushfires

10.01.2022 As the COVID-19 problems continue in America, here is a piece from CNN on how some funeral homes are trying to cope..... #ianjarthurfunerals #covid19deaths... https://edition.cnn.com//funeral-homes-bodies-coronavirus-

10.01.2022 We had the privilege of conducting one of my favourite services last week. A "Maori" funeral. 3 days of being at home with his family & friends......they really know how to express their grief, celebrate a life, then sing them into their next life. Stirring, respectful, floral, emotional and full of love for their departed..... Take care Mat...... okioki i runga i te rangimarie

08.01.2022 We are at the beautiful Mooney Mooney non-denominational chapel to farewell a dear mother, grandmother and friend to many. Gorgeous weather and a chapel full of love and song.....

07.01.2022 This is a very interesting development for social media accounts when finalising a deceased person's estate.......IA #ianjarthurfunerals #deceasedmediaaccounts

05.01.2022 Our fantastic florist who does all the flowers for our funerals is nominating for the local business awards. Any of our clients who so often have commented on how beautiful their flowers are - please feel free to show your support.

05.01.2022 A very informative video here from Macquarie Park Cemetery. A beautiful resting place for your loved one. #ianjarthurfunerals #macquarieparkcemetery

04.01.2022 Here is somthing a little different.... What a beautiful way to encompass your final journey. #ianjarthurfunerals #coffinclub

03.01.2022 Furry friends are a big part of our lives too.....so touching

03.01.2022 I was absolutely disgusted watching #ACA tonight, seeing another Funeral Director charging an additional $440 to transfer a COVID-19 client and then an extra $300 to remove his pacemaker!!!. This was after him having a prepaid funeral 6 years ago, with no mention of anything relating to infectious diseases in his contract....... They ,the FD, then had the audacity to complain about the "lack of rate of return" on the cost of the funeral policy !!... We would never implement such a charge and find it embarrassing trying to defend what we do. We have no association with that company, nor we ever will. I am seriously speechless. #ianjarthurfunerals #nochargesforcovid19

01.01.2022 About time..... Bring it on and I hope the ACCC pursues the people doing the wrong thing.....the new pricing policy required by Fair Trading also needs to be enforced!!!....

01.01.2022 I think in the current environment, this statement is very apt..... Watch this space for further updates.....
