22.01.2022 The Emerging Writing Festival has announced At Home Residencies, a program that supports emerging writers by offering time and financial assistance to work on their craft. This opportunity will see four emerging writers spending a fortnight working on their writing craft remotely at home, supported by the Emerging Writers’ Festival. The opportunity is open to emerging writers of all genres and styles, including poetry, fiction, non-fiction, scriptwriting, YA, essays and short stories. Find out more and apply now!

22.01.2022 Apply for Blak Design 2020, Koorie Heritage Trust's new program for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists, craftspeople, and designers living in Victoria. Blak Design will take designers, artists, makers and craftspeople through a series of Indigenous-led design and business training tutorials with a focus on Jewellery. Applications open until 13 October 2020.

Due to the disruption of COVID-19, our latest grantees will be working with the Cultural Trust team to reshape or reschedule their professional development projects. 13.01.2022 Opportunity for emerging writers! The Questions Writing Prize aims to recognise and reward young Australian writers aged 18 to 30. Both fiction and non-fiction submissions are accepted (1,500-2,000 words), with a $2,000 prize for the winner. Entries close 1 May 2021.

02.01.2022 Applications are now open for IPMIC 2022, the final commission in the ten-year biennial Ian Potter Moving Image Commission series. The successful artist will receive $100,000 from The Ian Potter Cultural Trust to create a new work, which will premiere at ACMI in 2022 as part of the museum’s contemporary art exhibition program. The work will be accessioned to the ACMI Collection, alongside a growing collection of Australian moving image art. The artist will receive extensiv...e professional support from ACMI throughout the making of the work including highly specialised curatorial, technical production and presentation expertise.
