Not only were ...the weather gods smiling, all of the Coral Sea creatures were biting too. 7 from 11 marlin bites, 5 blacks 2 blues, Which took the Hardcore team to an unbelievable 144 marlin from 80 days heavy tackle fishing!!!!!!! 06.01.2022 In case you’re wondering here’s what a 150 cm Barra looks like Caught in PNG with the H20, the same brilliant lads we filmed with and caught a motherload of... giant Barra and the most Black Bass EVER! Here’s angler Wee Liam’s account: It all started with an early message by my friend Jason Yip the owner of www.Sportfishingpng.net to join him on an exploration trip to the west for hunting and some fishing, immediately without thinking much i knew i had to go for it, knowing that it would be a journey full of surprises. With 3 weeks of planning i was there to begin my adventure. Papua New Guinea comes in TOP on my list as it offers visions of a very different sort of paradise. Remote & untouched fishery, rugged rivers teeming with trophy size fish. This time round I wandered off exploring the rivers in the Westward of Papua New Guinea for the company research program with Jason Yip, Molikazu and Uncle Hilary searching for big fish in their rivers which is looking at to be launch for public booking in 2019. Check out the photos below! Barramundi or Siakap(name of fish in my country malaysia) Length is :- 1.5 meter / 150cm Weight :- estimated 42kg- 48kg Fish did not survive due to extreme exhaustion I brought it back for the villages. Yes. i was the killer. too bad. We ate it too. 05.01.2022 The real deal ! Ok, so here’s a better picture of the massive Barra caught in Normanton (Gulf of Carpenteria) It was caught and released by Trevor Tierney (pictured) and measured 136cm. He has seen them bigger. Huge congrats to Trevor on the catch and especially the release.
