Our last event for the year is the Superkart Club presentation evening next weekend! Then it’s time for a rest before we start up for 2020

22.01.2022 Last night was the 2019 Karting End of Year Dinner. James and Josh were awarded their GKCSA Club Champion trophies, however Josh is away so we will get a photo of him when he gets back from holidays! Johnny was awarded his Barossa Club Championship trophy for TAG Light ... Young Antoni also was awarded his 2nd place for the Festival State Cup series and also picked up the random draw tyres! We are out at Monarto for the Xmas Enduro tomorrow!

22.01.2022 Racing today at Barossa for the Kartsport meeting Brandon is running his new toy, 140cc Monster Rotax in the Open class Ian is racing the Statesman variable restricted class as usual ... We also have young Antoni in Restricted 125 Light along with the returning Jordy, Olly, Nathan and new comer Mitch Simpson! The team pit area is very busy today with so many karts running!

21.01.2022 Racing today at the Dublin Winter Cup meeting. We have customers running in Tag, Open, Junior and Restricted classes here at Monarto

21.01.2022 Another race day in the books for 2020 Restricted 125: young Antoni cleared out and won convincingly today and set a new lap record for the class. Tag 125: mixed weather for the boys made the day interesting. Johnny came home a fast finishing 5th and Jaryd came home in 7th after an elegant spin on slicks during the brief shower during their final ... Cadet 12: Little Sammy showed huge improvement during the day, getting faster each session and mixing it with some vastly experienced drivers! Open Performance: Brandon ran his Twin Rotax kart and swept all 4 race wins and a new lap record. James ran his Birel DD2 kart and showed good speed to mix it up during the day, coming home fourth. We also ran a guest driver, Thomas Carrig was running in Brandon’s Exprit DD2 kart. Having not driven it before morning practice, Thomas spent the day adapting to extra horsepower, gears and front brakes! Two weeks time to shop will operating at both Bolivar and Mallala for the superkart meeting

21.01.2022 Well it’s only taken around 15 years, but we finally had the opportunity for the boss himself, Ian to run some laps in a Rotax DD2 Kart We almost couldn’t get him to stop, but we sent young Johnny out too and he kept doing even more laps!!

18.01.2022 Raceday Recap: Today was the final round of the 2019 Festival State Cup at Monarto. Restricted 125 Light: ... Josh was flying early in the day and narrowly missed out on pole position in qualifying. Some close racing and tricky conditions during the day kept him busy and he also bagged a race win in Heat 4. He amassed enough points to sit 5th for the day! Tag 125 Light: Johnny and Jaryd were joined for the first time by young James in the FSC’s premier racing class. After a heat race on slicks in moderate rain, some tough racing and brilliant starts and passing displays, the boys came away in 5th for Johnny, 6th for Jaryd and 7th for James. Superkarts: The other half of the team were out at Mallala where Jimmy Gorman sealed the deal in NGB Rotax Light and Tony Lappas was on near Lap Record pace in the Open 125 Gearbox class.

12.01.2022 That’s a wrap for AKC Round one. Johnny had worked his way into the top 15 when a progressive mechanical issue ultimately forced him to retire from the final. Johnny learnt a lot and showed some great driving displays over the event! ... The birthday boy (19yo) also took delivery of his new Riccardo Kart once Racing was complete!

12.01.2022 Another Race Day in the books at Mallala Tony cleaned up in the 125GB class and set a new lap record on his way to collecting the silverware Harry Georgiou had a run in a 250Inter kart and came home third for the day ... NGB Rotax was all in one class for the day, with young James Boden coming home third. Brandon, Ian and Jim suffered a few issues during the day but were in the mix as always Jaryd had his first meeting at Mallala and steadily improved and was running consistent 1:20s first day out Next up is Barossa on November 9th!

11.01.2022 Clean sweep for young Johnny at today’s Kartsport meeting in the Barossa. We spent the day working on the little things and getting johnnys driving spot on proved to be quite successful Next weekend the shop will be split across Mallala and Monarto for two meetings!

We were best represented in the Gentleman’s class for the over 40s as seen below! ... A busy end to the year coming up with a few club meetings, a state championship and a superkart meeting all in the next few weeks!

08.01.2022 What a cracker day out at Barossa. TAG125 Light: The boys put on a show all day in what was a smaller meeting, and the final race was awesome to watch. Johnny showed how well his driver training has been progressing to run his best ever times at Barossa and despite Brandon’s best efforts, took out the meeting. ... The boys all ran nose to tail over the line in the last race!! 1st Johnny Twigden 2nd Brandon Stillwell 3rd James Boden And an honourable mention for 4th place Jaryd Berry R125 Light and Medium Antoni Ormsby came home 2nd for the day and worked on his driving technique around the tricky Barossa track. Visiting driver Peter Matthews diced all day with the leaders and came home 3rd for the day. Taking a fine Barossa wine glass home to QLD with him. The shop will next be in action at Mallala for the final Superkart Cup round on November 24th

08.01.2022 What fun that was! Ian, Greg and Tony all raced the Statesman class and put on a show all weekend Jaryd and Johnny were in the mix all weekend in TAG Light, with Jaryd coming home 2nd and Johnny in 5th after a DNF early today.... Race of the weekend goes to James and Brandon in the Gearbox class with their DD2s. Brandon had to use everything he could to try and keep ahead of James, but in the end James grabbed the lead and took the weekends spoils with it. He might just be getting too fast for his coach to keep in front him now ... Next weekend is the Karting SA dinner and the annual Xmas Enduro at Monarto. That will be the last on track event for 2019

07.01.2022 Race day done here at Barossa for KartsportSA Statesman 125: The man himself, Willy had two cracking heat wins and some bad luck during the day but came home with 3rd for the day! Open Class: Once we got the carburettor set up on the 140cc Rotax, it went like a bullet! 5 heat wins for Brandon and some more development to come for the big bore Rotax ... R125 Light: With 5 of our drivers running in the class, it was anyone’s bet who would succeed Olly Simpson came home with a full set of 5 race wins and his Dad Nathan came home 2nd for the day. Hard luck awards go to young Antoni Ormsby, Mitch and Jordy Simpson who suffered dnfs in the final which prevented a solid result for all of them Next weekend we are back in Superkart mode, with the next ASC meeting at Mallala Motorsport Park on Sunday!

06.01.2022 The 2019 National Festival of Superkarts has been run and won A huge congratulations to Jim Gorman, he secured the Stock Honda National title after heartbreak for the last two years! Harry Georgiou came away with 2nd place in NGB Rotax Light for the weekend. The boss him self, Ian Williams, came home in 2nd place for NGB Rotax Heavy.... An eventful weekend for all and the shop wishes NSW Scorpion driver Allan Dodge a speedy recovery after his rollover in Heat 3 today!!

04.01.2022 Superkart Cup Round 4: Harry did his new Aus 2 plate proud and took out the day in NGB Rotax Light. Young James was running right at the front all day but a mech issue in heat three took the edge off his day. Brandon won the NGB Rotax Heavy class and set a new lap record of 1:19.7 in heat 2... Jimmy showed off his Aus 1 plate in the Stock Honda and brought home the win to round out the year!

03.01.2022 River City Titles Recap R125 Light: Josh missed out on pole by the finest of margins in the morning qualifying and he showed some superb driving to come away second for the event, right on the bumper of the winning kart! ... James returned to the class for a run, and after a mechanical issue in qualifying put him on the back foot, showed his usual class and prowess to race back through the field to finish third. (Check out the bright new look on his #97 Sera Kart) Young Antoni Ormsby moved up into the senior ranks and took the first half of the day to find his footing, but come time for the final he was pulling of great passes on experienced competitors and followed James home in 4th place Open Performance: Brandon put his Exprit DD2 on pole in qualifying and was closely followed by Young James in his Birel DD2. Brandon won heat two, and using all his experience held off the faster 6 Speed KZ2 kart for the majority of the final, but wasn’t quite able to hold on and came home in 2nd place. James rounded out the podium in 3rd after his tyre condition fell away in the final race In the coming weeks we will be at Kartsport meeting at Barossa where we hope to have a new toy out racing in the Open Class See you all there!
