This father and son duo operate Deluxe Dry Cleaning, right next to another spiritual home in the west, the Whitten Oval on Barkly Street. Nick's parents migrated to Australia from Sicily in the early 1920s and settled in Werribee, where many Italians worked on market gardens, or farms. The family soon moved to Footscray and thirty years ago, Nick opened Deluxe Dry Cleaning. "I have never lived anywhere else. The people, the environment is special. It makes this place home, not work" says Nick. Aaron, a qualified chemical engineer said since the pandemic, the pace of work has slowed down by about 80 per cent, but we had always planned to do home pick-up and delivery.
