23.01.2022 The Day That Was! 23 November 2019, 2 to 5 pm. The Melbourne Chapter of the ICAI hosted two fantastic speakers. The first session was conducted by Kalina Silverman, the CEO of Big Talk. Big Talk is a communication approach that facilitates meaningful connections in lifewith family, friends, coworkers, strangers, and even oneselfthrough the process of skipping small talk to ask more open-ended and thought-provoking questions. In turn, Big Talk elicits responses that help peo...ple build relationships and share their life stories. Big Talk is a video series, a card game, an educational and business tool, a government-funded international Fulbright research project, and a powerful platform that encourages people to share their most profound thoughts, feelings, and life storiesmaking their voices heard. The second session was conducted by Michael Dee, the CEO of Pythagoras Investing. He helps people discover biases in their investing style and the subliminal biases which are everywhere. He then helps them learn how to break free of their effects. The presentation has been delivered to thousands of people including as a guest speaker to the Australian Shareholders Association groups in across Australia to great acclaim. His goal is for audiences to understand more about themselves as investors and learn how to improve. The newsletter for November 2019 will carry further details of the session.
