24.01.2022 Well done to the morning patrol team on a very busy shift. Two sessions of junior lifeguards Nine rescues in the IRB Seperate incident with an immersion requiring paramedics. Great when teamwork just happens effortlessly!

23.01.2022 Storm activity at Bulcock Beach this afternoon. Please keep safe. Thanks to one of our members for the photo. And thanks to all of our volunteer patrol members who selflessly patrol to keep others safe.

21.01.2022 Opinions! What do you think. Should kite surfers be allowed to kite surf at the beach. Unfortunately today we had 34 kite surfers overtake our beach. They are considered a vessel and vessels should only be used for fishing for your own family. Do you think they pose a risk for volunteer life savers if they require assistance? 19.01.2022 Are you SwimReady for summer?

18.01.2022 Big day today. Major search this morning and great work with our Irb, MetCal, helicopter and wave runner all working together. Then this afternoon a major stonefish puncture with paramedics transportation.

18.01.2022 Members - please have a look at this. It is pleasing that there is a decrease. One death is too many.

17.01.2022 This year RLSS President, HRH Prince Michael of Kent GCVO, issued a special edition of his Certificate of Merit to commemorate the 125th Anniversary of the form...ation of the Society. LSCA would like to congratulate Paul Barry and Dianne Montelto who were recipients of this award. Both Dianne and Paul do an amazing job with the RLSS but are also both great supporters of our work with Chaplaincy in lifesaving. Congratulations! Pictured: Paul Barry being presented with his certificate from HRH Prince Michael of Kent GCVO. See more

17.01.2022 Our beach was closed again earlier today due to the earlier storm. Hail and lightning. Keep safe everyone.

16.01.2022 Another busy day so far. With the patrol team to happy valley for a first aid of a young surfer into rocks and a fin strike which required paramedic transport. Then being called to reports of a stonefish in the middle of the road. Someone had relocated back to the water to rock area. And about four hours later this stonefish was near the flags in the water. He has been named Rocky! A minor sting and cut and the afternoon is not finished!

15.01.2022 And thanks to met cal irb and waver runner 12 who rescued the two men and brought them back to Bulcock Beach. Queensland police came and had a chat to the gentlemen.

15.01.2022 Thank you to our members for organising and paying respect on Anzac Day. Lest We Forget.

14.01.2022 Congratulations to one of our life members, John McClelland for receiving his Member of the Order of Australia from the Queensland Governor on Wednesday.

13.01.2022 A very important message to anyone wishing to visit our beach this weekend. Please take note.

13.01.2022 Beach is deserted and with very good reasons. Massive thunderstorms. Has made the surveillance team jump a few times. At least 40 boats, jet skis, and SUPs have made their way back to land.

12.01.2022 Thank you Georgia for your kind words. Well done to Heather and Jim. It's wonderful for our members to be thanked for their volunteer work that they do. It's great that you are feeling so much better, and you certainly look a lot better.

12.01.2022 FLURRY OF STONEFISH STINGS WHICH HURT ‘MORE THAN CHILDBIRTH’ AT THIS POPULAR SUNSHINE COAST BEACH Ithaca Caloundra City Lifesaving Club secretary and patrol ...member Patricia Barry said it had been a bad season for stonefish stings at Bulcock Beach. Speaking to ABC Sunshine Coast Breakfast presenter, Rob Blackmore, Ms Barry said while the club normally treated five to six a year, during the Christmas period there had been a flurry of stings. Lifesavers were required to call 000 for stonefish wounds because of the immense pain they caused. It is terribly, terribly painful, Ms Barry said. Woman say its far worse than childbirth. I’ve have seen grown men screaming and crying. Ms Barry, who will talk about the puncture wounds at a Caloundra Residents’ Association meeting tomorrow night (Tuesday) said awareness was the key to prevention. Many people don’t realise that they are present in this area, she said. They live among the rocks and bury themselves in sand close to the rock. If you go rock walking, you should wear a really good pair of shoes. They can pierce through a regular thong. Ms Barry said there wasn’t signage around the area as it was a bit like warning people there were sharks in the ocean. But did you know they were there? Do you think there should be signage warning of their presence?

11.01.2022 Very important message from the council.

11.01.2022 Thank you to our volunteer members who have given their time selflessly this weekend to patrol beautiful Bulcock Beach. Practising safe measures of course.

11.01.2022 It was great to see the boys in blue come down and check on the social distancing rules. Unfortunately we had several people sunbaking today. On another incident seperate police also arrested a cyclist near the club today.

09.01.2022 WEEKEND PATROLS - STAND BY ONLY COVID-19 has meant that this weekend's patrols will be affected and we will only be on Stand by. Our volunteer life savers may not be able to rescue people. Please adhere to Government guidelines.... Members - please read a very important message from the Club Captain.

09.01.2022 It was great that Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk MP visited the volunteer Royal Life Savers yesterday at Ithaca-Caloundra City Life Saving Club Inc at... Bulcock Beach, Caloundra. Accompanying Ms Palaszczuk was Mr Jason Hunt. Ms Palaszczuk and Mr Hunt spoke to members about Caloundra and the valuable service volunteers provide to the community. 09.01.2022 Santa visited us last weekend. This is the footage from channel 7. Some of our junior members may spot themselves. Merry Christmas everyone.

09.01.2022 Merry Christmas from the patrol team on Bulcock beach. Thank you to Abigail for the yummy Christmas biscuits and the Webb family for the treats. Despite the rainy weather we have had a busy morning with another stone fish puncture first aid case. Not a nice way to spend Christmas Day in hospital but we wish our patient all the best.

08.01.2022 A very friendly eastern brown snake travelled from the bbq area to near the clubhouse today. He was quite inquisitive. A member of the public called the council and the snake catcher and he was safely relocated.
