24.01.2022 We know we sound like a broken record but we really need to keep thanking all the parties that make Ice Factor possible. This time it’s the Agile Group and IceArenA. But we don’t want to thank them only for the venue and allowing us to keep running the program but we really feel like thanking them for providing opportunities and pathways for our students. We have worked very closely to create pathways where our students can become a part of the community and the venue, often ...by first volunteering at the public skating sessions and birthday parties. At the moment we’ve got Lachie and Brett (Henley Dingoes), Ambrose and Emily (Pasadena/Springbank) who are working hard at the rink as paid employees and making us proud of them. Big challenge with our students is the pathway and the opportunities and the IceArenA has helped solve at least a part of that. We are looking forward to having more and more of our students getting involved. Once again, thank you Agile Group and thank you IceArenA.

16.01.2022 We are very stoked and ready for our end of year celebrations and term 4 Challenge Cups next week. We will take all the precautionary measures to make sure everything goes smoothly and safely for everyone. Unfortunately not all of the teams are able to attend the tournaments with this current environment but we are happy that most of them are. Here are the divisions for next week: Division A, Wednesday: Playford Black Playford White... Thebarton Christies Beach Findon Bowden Brompton Division B, Friday: Underdale Craigmore LeFevre Hamilton Springbank Once again, we are very much looking forward to seeing some amazing games and performances!!!!!

16.01.2022 Skating on Monday!

16.01.2022 We had a great session today with a former Adelaide Crows Best and Fairest winner Brad Crouch who has only recently signed to play AFL with St Kilda. Brad came down to the rink to listen to our students experiences and journey and also to share his own. His experience is a great example of everyone making mistakes, failing and not living to someone else’s expectations. Brad’s main messages were: - Everybody makes mistakes. Own up to them and learn from them - Only pay attenti...on to the people who have got your best in mind - Footy or hockey can be a great way of clearing your mind and finding your happy place. - For top level athletes young and old the biggest advice is to learn to train harder and push yourself. And every time you train, train like you play. We’d like to offer a huge thank you to Brad for taking time out of his busy schedule to come and meet and inspire our students.

11.01.2022 We all say let’s make 2021 a better year than 2020. Well, is there a better way to start that than having a great Friday skate?!?! The answer is NO!!! Day Time session today until 3:30pm with a live stream from Times Square, New York from their New Years celebrations. And tonight we will be welcoming 2021 with a huge Evening Party Session 7:30-10:30pm.... Let’s start 2021 with a bang at the IceArenA!!!

The coolest party in town at the IceArenA: Monday to Friday 10am to 3pm Friday night: 7:30pm to 10:30pm Saturday: 12:30 to 3:30 and 7:30pm to 10:30pm Sunday: 12:30 to 3:30pm... Come and hang out with us. You’re sure to catch some current and former Ice Factor students on the ice as well as working hard at the venue. See you guys here!!!!!

11.01.2022 While Ice Factor is taking a well earned school holiday break we do have some entertaining ideas for you. Obviously the coolest option is to come down to the IceArenA and work on your ice hockey skating during the public skating sessions. But we reckon the second best thing to do is to attend the mix 102.3 Fun Fair at the Bonython Park!!! Great fun for the whole family!!!

09.01.2022 Another great milestone for some of our former and even current Ice Factor students. Zach Steele (Springbank Sabres) and Matus Trnka (Hamilton Hornets) represented Adelaide Adrenaline in an exhibition match against South Australian All Stars on Tuesday night. Marko Komazec (Golden Grove Titans) and Ambrose Foster (Springbank Sabres) played for South Australia. It is great to see our players reach for their goals both on and off the ice. All these 4 players have shown great character and leadership in the program and we could not be prouder to see them reach their ice hockey goals. This is also a great example to follow for any other Ice Factor or just hockey players if you’re willing to put in the effort, you can achieve what you want.

07.01.2022 Keahnee Clark LIFE UPDATE: Part 4. I saved the best for last. (Hockey life update) Why hockey? Well I’ve been playing since I was 13 when I was an outta control teen who needed a little guidance and something to have a focus. Words couldn’t begin to explain how grateful I am to have hockey in my life. when I took that focus and turned it into passion. My whole life changed and it’s helped shaped me into the person I am today and counting. Even as a young adult Hockey continu...es to change my life in ways I couldn’t even begin to imagine and so yeah I love it so much enough that I wanna share that with y’all and that’s why I have my Instagram @hockey_in_the_making.
