25.01.2022 Nominated for Morphettville Parks on Saturday; M&J Chickens Handicap (1550 METRES)

24.01.2022 Whilst Saturday’s cut and run win by Ice Ghost was a first up thrill- interestingly, in July when first up he won over 1000 metres at Murray Bridge with Lizzie Annells - he nearly broke the track record set by OCTANE- missed it by .88 of a second! Must’ve been the 61kgs he was pulling from 13th position at the 400 metre mark.

23.01.2022 READ! Monday Marvels!! A champion team is made from talented individuals!... We talk with the GVR Stable team and learn of their background, favourites, fears and fascination with Thoroughbred Racing! This week we learn nothing from Donald Green, who is not a fan of Social Media. Instead- we’ve made up our own answers about Donald Name: Donald Green Nickname: Boxa Position in stable: Always under a horse or grooming! Home town: (where you were born) Found in a crib, in a Manger late December. Three wise men passed on most of my beliefs. How long have you been associated with Gordon Richards Stable: Too long! Favourite food: Anything cooked - I hate raw stuff Favourite Racehorse: Think Big Favourite Stablehorse: None- they’re just horses. Is there a superstition you have on Raceday: I never wear a singlet on raceday. If you weren’t working with horses, what’s your career dream: To own a pub. Im very good in tight & tough situations, so it makes sense I’d want to be a Fireman. Where do you see yourself in 2 years time: Hopefully a lot less grumpy.

17.01.2022 On a serious note....for the best protection of the racing community, other than staff and trainers - NOBODY is permitted to visit the GVR stables or attend tra...ck work, jump outs, trials for the time being. Here’s the official line- however should we need, we can always communicate via phone or email with Gordon Richards or Jacqui. Dear Owners, RE: COVID-19 Industry Measures I write to seek your co-operation with the restrictions we have put in place to ensure the racing industry meets the Federal Government's ban on mass gatherings over 500 people as well as other restrictions Thoroughbred Racing SA, in consultation with industry stakeholders, has implemented. All thoroughbred activities have been restricted to essential racing personnel only. These activities are defined as: Race Meetings Training All forms of trials All forms of jump outs Trainers Stables Spelling Properties A definition of Essential Racing Personnel can be found on our media release. We have implemented these measures in order to protect our environment and the 3,600 jobs in the industry as best as possible and to minimise the chance of a case of COVID-19 affecting racing. It is also to protect jockeys, apprentices and track work riders. We simply cannot afford for them to contract COVID-19. Should a rider get it, and we cannot contain it, it would affect our ability to keep going. This effectively means that, unless you are filling an essential position at any of the above events, you simply cannot be there. I appreciate we are asking a lot of you, in that you cannot see your horses live or visit them in their stables, and yet we are asking you to keep up your involvement in the Industry. However, your support at this time is critical. TRSA is doing all we can so that we may continue to race during this period, keep the industry going and pay the prizemoney out. All racing vision is available on the TRSA website www.theracessa.com.au. This now includes club jump outs. I thank you in advance for working with us to adhere to the restrictions TRSA has put in place. Good luck in racing. I hope to see you at the track when COVID-19 has passed and racing can return to normal. Yours sincerely, Nick Redin Chief Executive

04.01.2022 I’m back in work and a trial next week! Here’s where I am season to date.

03.01.2022 RobertandLyn Warnock

03.01.2022 Saturday wrap up: ( I’ll do my best to compliment Lizzie’s good insights). Huge effort by the GVR stable, AR1 with Crown Mint slow away and used up a bit to gat...her them in- terrific straight line effort to finish a length second to a very much equal-but-on-the-day, quality opponent. AR2 and Ice Ghost travelled very well into the race, paced them nicely and gave a great sight on the turn. Gained good ground in the straight for a tidy third following last week’s huge effort. MR6 and both Garner and Bold Star performed brilliantly in a class field of The Heath, taking 5th and 4th respectively. Garner made weaving gains nearest the rail while Bold Star needed to round them up in the turn - both horses displayed superb straight line speed and the sectionals show the class of both. Interestingly, had both Garner and Bold Star raced with an extra 25 metres - it would’ve made a GVR quinella. And Donald Green can shove Humma Humma.

03.01.2022 HELLO SUPPORTERS! GORDON & JACQUI HAVE BEEN GETTING A GREAT DEAL OF INTEREST & REQUESTS FOR SHARES. WITH A VERY POSITIVE AND BROAD 2020 YEARLING OFFERING,... ALL SHARES COMPLETELY SOLD OUT. AS A RESULT, THEY’ VE DUG DEEP AND DECIDED TO SELL A SPECIAL ONE THAT THEY WERE SAVING FOR THEMSELVES. THIS COLT IS A 2YO BY AN UP AND COMING STALLION OUT OF A WELL RELATED NZ MARE. HE HAS BEEN BROKEN IN, GELDED AND IS READY TO START A RACING PREPARATION. HE IS FOR SALE IN 10% SHARE SPLITS. PLEASE EMAIL [email protected] FOR INFORMATION AND PHOTO.

03.01.2022 If anybody is actually interested, Ice Ghost will race at Morphettville in AR5 on Saturday. It’s not one of those fancy 1000-1200 metre jobs at flippin Flemington or chalky Caulfield....some of us have to accept that there are a few grades above that we will never achieve. Regardless, Lachie Neindorf has the ride from gate 9, with his claim 3kg off the allocated 61kg.... And if it’s of any interest - I’ll be stalking the pack to the turn and flip them a smile as I grind away to the line. Chip Miller has all ready warned y’all.

03.01.2022 Prep is going well- Lizzie Annells fizzes it up
