This will be an expansion of our current Screen Cultures program that will roll out nationally and include partnership with LA-based, Film Independent. 23.01.2022 Our friends at Urban Theatre Projects are excited to announce the launch of M'ap Boulé by Nancy Denis. Presented online from 21 - 25 September, this major new online work is a summoning and a worshipping of ancestors a journey through fire, pain, ash and becoming. Map Boulé Home is where I lay is a play with songs telling the story of a child of immigrant parents growing up in Australia finding her identity. It explores the story of the first black-led republic of Haiti... and the personal narrative of a Haitian-Australian woman living on Gadigal land in Waterloo. Map Boulé translated to English means Im on fire in Haitian Krèole a language that was developed during the Haitian Revolution in 1804. Written by Nancy Denis and directed by Hilton Denis, Map Boulé features original music composed by Carl St Jacques with lyrics by Nancy Denis. Book your tickets online today via the link below. The dynamic but relaxed workshop explores pathways to employment and engaging people living with disability within organisations and productions and is underpinned by the principles of inclusive filmmaking, complement...ing Bus Stops` The Inclusive Filmmaking Toolkit. Inclusion in Action was inclusively developed by industry professionals with lived experience of disability and is being delivered FREE during a pilot program, with the first of a suite of online sessions starting from Tuesday 15th September. 07.01.2022 We couldn’t be more grateful for our relationship with Dharug custodians, Julie Clarke-Jones (Webb), Peta Strachan and Dubs Yunupingu Yesterday to celebrate #NAIDOC #AlwaysWasAlwaysWillBe I.C.E. spent some incredibly valuable time listening to Dharug custodians, and beginning the process of learning how to walk beside them. In the morning, Julie, Peta and Dubs held a water cleansing ceremony for us with a performance by Peta, followed by an incredible series of conversations and finishing with a movement workshop. Thank you for everyone who joined us. We are so proud to work with you all and excited to learn more together.

01.01.2022 Yesterday Biennale of Sydney released its first announcement of participants for the 23rd Biennale of Sydney, rvus. Situated along the waterways of the Gadigal and Burramattagal people, the Biennale of Sydney in 2022 will be articulated through a series of conceptual wetlands and imagined ecosystems populated by artworks, public programs, experiments, research and activisms, following the currents of meandering tributaries that expand into a delta of interrelated ideas. Thos...e invited to take part in the Biennale will be known as ‘participants’ rather than ‘artists’, reflecting their diverse talents, skills, practices and modes of being that extend beyond the realm of the visual arts. The participants announced today live across six continents and 33 countries such as Cameroon, Cuba, Venezuela, Slovenia, Taiwan, Tonga and the Netherlands.
