25.01.2022 The ISA AGM was held today. It was a delayed meeting due to Covid-19 from the original date in April and was held via ZOOM which is a first for ISA. Thank you to all delegates for attending and any observers who came along. The Board for the next 12 months is: President - Peter Lynch Secretary - Carole Ashworth... Treasurer - Wendy Meik Board Members - Peter Marcovich, Debbie Noyes, Don Nichols (re-elected) and welcome to new Board member Moira Henningsen from South Australia. Operational Chairs continue in their roles. They are: Technical Regulations - Debbie Noyes Judging and Officials - Susan Lynch Athlete Development - Mark Lynch Synchronized Skating - Angelique Clyde-Smith Coaches Committee - Monica McDonald Sport Development (Aussie Skate, Adult and Theatre on Ice) - Kim Wilson The Board is looking foward to the next 12 months. There will be some challenges due to Covid-19 and the Board will be working towards ensuring communications and policies are designed to support the skating community.

02.01.2022 Peter Lynch, President, Ice Skating Australia said: we are deeply saddened to hear of Ekaterina Alexandrovskaya's passing. A brilliant athlete with incredible drive and determination that was nurtured by our friends at the Russian Skating Federation, but then found a new home here in Australia forming an incredible pair skating partnership with Australian Harley Windsor. Together they did what many thought impossible, becoming Junior World and Junior Grand Prix Champions before moving onto the Olympic Winter Games. The partnership was developed with visionary Australian coaches Andre and Galina Pachin. Together they created greatness that will rest in the Australian record books for many years. Our heartfelt thoughts and condolences go out to her’s and Harley’s familys. The worldwide sport of figure skating mourns your loss.
