24.01.2022 Welcome to the Qalam Education Initiative (QEI)! QEI aims to impart basic religious knowledge to new Muslims’ taking their first steps on their path into Islam. The Islamic Association Millî Görüs (IGMG) in cooperation with the Islamic Council of the Federal Republic of Germany originally launched this as guidance and assistance for initiates, and we as ICMG Youth Australia are proud to launch this program here! This program solely focuses on brothers and sisters coming into ...the fold of Islam. We endeavor to equip you with the tools and knowledge to progress and prosper; maintaining classes which provide an intimate learning environment and the ability to openly ask questions. Through these virtual and segregated classes, a student will grasp and build insight and achieve spiritual enlightenment to thrive and reach your goals with comfort and support. Through virtual classes, students will have a great opportunity to engage with our teachers wherever they may be across the nation! The virtue of fasting the Day of Ashura was known among the prophets (peace be upon them all). Both prophet Nuh and Musa (peace be upon them both) fasted on this day. The prophet (peace be upon him) fasted on this day even during the Meccan period and extended the practice to fasting two days when he observed the people of the book venerating it.
