06.01.2022 Good news for international students! https://www.icms.edu.au//measures-support-international-st The Australian Government has just announced further measures to support our international students. It has been announced that students will be eligible for the Post Study Work Visa regardless of whether they have started studying online offshore or onshore. ... This measure will allow students to start their ICMS journey online while offshore and not need to worry about their eligibility for the post study work visa in the future. This and other key changes summarised below; The Government will recommence granting student visas in all locations lodged outside Australia. This means when borders re-open, students will already have visas and be able to make arrangements to travel. International students will be able to lodge a further student visa application free of charge, if they are unable to complete their studies within their original visa validity due to COVID-19. Current student visa holders studying online outside Australia due to COVID-19 will be able to use that study to count towards the Australian study requirement for a post-study work visa. Graduates who held a student visa will be eligible to apply for a post-study work visa outside Australia if they are unable to return due to COVID-19. Additional time will be given for applicants to provide English language results where COVID-19 has disrupted access to these services. ICMS fully supports these new measures that will give international students the flexibility required during this worldwide pandemic. ICMS remains committed to providing students with a unique online experience for the upcoming terms. For international student Jouice Meek, from the Philippines, this meant receiving an offer from the coolest luxury champagne conglomerate to complete her internship at Moët Hennessy in the finance department of their Sydney office.
